Natsume’s E3 lineup includes new Rune Factory, Harvest Moon games
Natsume has announced their E3 lineup and, predictably, it includes new games in the Rune Factory and Harvest Moon franchises. Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny will be coming to the PS3 and Wii while Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns will get a dual release on two dual screen handhelds, the DS and 3DS.
“We have a lineup of top-notch titles this year!” said Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO of Natsume. “We’ve got dancing, fishing, and exciting new entries in the Rune Factory and Harvest Moon series. No matter your age or tastes, we have a game for you!”

WWE ’12 pins PS3, Wii, 360 this November
Smackdown has been smacked down and Raw has been cooked, this year’s WWE release from THQ will be known by the much simpler title WWE ’12. THQ promises that WWE ’12 will be “Bigger, Badder, Better” when it releases on November 22 for the PS3, Wii and Xbox 360.
Not only does the game have a new title and a new slogan, but the technology behind it has been rebuilt from the ground up:
WWE ’12 will offer players the opportunity to engage in the WWE experience through the new Predator Technology dynamic gameplay system, which is poised to deliver the most fluid, dynamic, authentic and action-packed WWE simulation experience to date. Included are the new Breaking Point submission system, new Attributes and control layout as well as significant improvements to other key gameplay systems, including Momentum and Stamina. WWE Universe Mode 2.0 will generate new and more impactful elements of unpredictability based on player decisions, while dynamic visual changes to gameplay presentation, including new animations, camera positions, lighting and improved rendering, will set the tone for delivering an exceptional simulation of WWE programming.
WWE ’12 will also include an extensive Creatve-A-Wrestler mode with customizable entrances, finishing moves, storylines and Highlight Reels along with the return of the popular Road to WrestleMania mode. Finally, the game will boast one of the largest rosters of WWE Superstars, WWE Divas and WWE Legends in franchise history, including Randy Orton, John Cena, The Miz and the debuting Alberto Del Rio.
The game’s debut trailer can be found and a ridiculously detailed developer Q&A with Creative Director Cory Ledesma can be found at SmackdownVsRaw.com (the Q&A also includes a ton of screenshots). Not surprisingly, THQ will be showcasing the game at next week’s E3 Expo.
See the final box art for Madden NFL 12

Today, Hillis has officially been targeted by the Madden Cover Curse as the final box art for the game was revealed. Feel free to click on the image to view a slightly larger version.
Madden NFL 12 will be released for the PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii and Xbox 360 on August 30.
Disney Universe suit ups this Fall
The Disney/Square Enix partnership has produced six Kingdom Hearts games with a seventh in development. The House of Mouse must have taken that franchise’s mashup mentality to heart as they’ve announced Disney Universe will be available on the PC, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 this Fall.
Disney Universe will mix together characters from Disney’s animated and live-action films in a “fast-paced” and “frenetic” adventure. Players will be able to “suit up” as more than 40 Disney characters including Alice (Alice in Wonderland), Mike (Monsters, Inc.), Tron (Tron: Legacy) and Stitch (Lilo & Stitch). Once in costume, players will gain powers and tools related to their character of choice as they explore six worlds based on legendary Disney and Pixar films. And like any good family game, Disney Universe will also include a multiplayer mode for up to four players.
Disney Interactive plans to expand Disney Universe on the PS3 and Xbox 360 post-launch through an expanding universe of downloadloadable content and items including additional worlds, costumes and more available for purchase.

Hell freezes: Duke Nukem Forever has actually gone gold
No more delays, Duke Nukem Forever is finally being printed on discs and making its way to retailers for its June 14 launch date on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. The 14-year development history of the game itself across four development studios has been an odyssey in itself, and this no doubt marks a monumental day for gaming. Original Creative Director at 3D Realms, George Broussard, had these inspiring words to share:
Duke Nukem Forever and its journey to store shelves is legendary. It’s an epic tale of four game development studios that banded together and did the unthinkable and shipped the unshippable. When you play this game you will be reminded of that epic journey at every turn and in every small detail of the game. The character, attitude, interactivity, gameplay and political incorrectness combine to make a Duke Nukem game a unique gaming experience. In the timeless words of Duke Nukem it’s finally time to ‘Come Get Some’. Come be a part of gaming history.

Duke Nukem battles topless babes in strip shooting webgame

Stay classy Duke!
The official European site for Duke Nukem Forever has added a new Flash game to keep your trigger finger busy while it waits for the real thing. Loading up “Duke Nudem” at boob-tube.eu will pit gamers against four of Duke’s babes in a round of strip target practice. If Duke wins, the girls get naked. But if the girls win, Duke introduces them to his gun. In other words… Duke always wins.
Putting up a better score than the babes is not as easy you’d think. Vicky Vixen (and her MP5), Blastin’ Jo (who’s packing a heavy-duty shotgun), Deadeye Stacy (sporting an AK-47) and Rifle Rosie (with her M-16) are all crack shots and the Duke will go down in defeat a lot. So you’ll have to practice, practice, practice until you can outlast the babes. Good luck, Duke.
Duke Nukem Forever will finally be released for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on June 14.

Sony announces free games and more in “Welcome Back” appreciation program
Sony promised that when the PlayStation Network services were restored, they’d be offering us some free goodies as part of a “Welcome Back” initiative to make up for the time lost on our online games. Now, the PSN is back, and they’ve detailed the free games, subscriptions, and other content we’ll be enjoying.
First up, PlayStation 3 users will be able to select two PS3 titles from the following list:
Dead Nation, InFamous, LittleBigPlanet, Super Stardust HD, and Wipeout HD + Fury. PlayStation Portable users can grab two from LittleBigPlanet (PSP), ModNation Racers, Pursuit Force, and Killzone Liberation.
A host of other perks will be available as well. Sony will select a weekend when a selection of “On Us” movie rentals can be downloaded, PlayStation Plus subscribers get two additional months of the service free, non-Plus subscribers get a free 30 day trial, over 100 free items will be available in PlayStation Home, and Qriocity users get a free thirty days.
I gotta say that’s a nice mix of media… except on the PS3 side. Most of those games have already been offered as either free downloads or discounted items on the PlayStation Plus program. And it’d be hard to imagine a hardcore PlayStation fan who doesn’t own InFamous, LBP, Stardust, and Dead Nation. I would have much preferred a flat $20 credit to get whatever we want. Lord knows the PSOne Classics and Japanese Imports I want would never be offered on a Welcome Back list. Right now, it seems like PlayStation’s biggest supporters are getting rewarded the least for their loyalty.
