First Amazing Spider-Man: The Game concept art is… well, you know
With Spider-Man: Edge of Time now in stores, Beenox is hard at work on The Amazing Spider-Man, next Summer’s tie-in game that’ll be released alongside the movie of the same name. The Amazing Spider-Man made it’s debut (in a rough and very early state) at New York Comic-Con and now, a month later, the developer is ready to unveil the first concept art from the game.
Hit the jump for a first look at a gun battle in the subway tunnels, the inside of Peter’s apartment, and the opulent OsCorp building. (more…)

Amazing Spider-Man gameplay trailer is pretty amazing
Activision just unveiled the first gameplay trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man at the New York Comic-Con. Once again developed by Beenox, the game brings back the open world New York of previous Spider-Man games that we’ve all missed spectacularly.
The sensational trailer shows Spider-Man zipping around Manhattan like never before. Not only does the webslinger move faster than ever, but some parts of the trailer even took place at night. The trailer comes to a close just before a confrontation with a Spider Slayer.
The Amazing Spider-Man is on track for a Summer 2012, alonside the new film starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone.

Activision confirms Amazing Spider-Man game
It should come as a surprise to no one, but Activision has confirmed they have a game based on next Summer’s The Amazing Spider-Man movie in production.
Doing their best Peter Parker, IGN snapped a picture of a poster advertising the game adaptation at this weekend’s New York Comic-Con. But aside from confirmation of the developer (Beenox, who has worked on the last two Spider-Man games), there’s very little to go on.
Allow me to go out on a limb and guess that it’ll be released in late June (just ahead of the movie’s July 3, 2012 opening) for every platform under the sun.

The Amazing Spider-Man: Let the Tie-In Game Speculation Begin!
After months of speculation, Sony Pictures has finally revealed that the new Spider-Man movie will be known as The Amazing Spider-Man. While Spider-Man game publisher Activision didn’t weigh on this momentous news, a game adaptation is surely in development. But what might it entail?
First of all, it’s important to note that Activision already has a new Spider-Man game on tap for a Fall 2011 release. Developed by Beenox, the currently untitled Spider-Man 2011 is shrouded in mystery. The most likely basis for the game is the upcoming “Ultimate Spider-Man” animated series, which will also debut this Fall. Besides, it’s doubtful that Sony would give Activision the go-ahead to release a movie tie-in game so far ahead of the film’s July 3, 2012 opening. So let’s assume the two games are separate. (more…)
