Nintendo brings 5,000 Wii U demo kiosks to stores
Nintendo has announced that they’ve completed their rollout of Wii U demo kiosks, installing over 5,000 of the machines at Target, Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart, and Toys R Us.
Not every kiosk will feature the same titles, but playable demos of the Nintendo-published Nintendo Land, New Super Mario Bros. U, and Sing Party will be included at most kiosks. Some will also feature demos of Ubisoft’s ZombiU and Rayman Legends. Other games will be available in video form. I tried the demo kiosk at my local Target this weekend and the Wii U GamePad was already broken.
The Wii U console and at least two dozen launch games will be available on November 18.

ZombiU puts the “survival” back in survival horror
While Nintendo affixed a “U” on the end of all their Wii U games, Ubisoft’s ZombiU has to take the prize for the most ridiculous reference to Nintendo’s next console. Say it real fast. Sounds kind of like Zom-Wii U doesn’t it?
Wacky title aside, ZombiU also looks to put the “survival” back in the survival horror genre. Using the Wii U GamePad, every time a player looks into their bag or attempts to access an in-game computer, the camera will shift to the tablet controller, ensuring players split their attention between both screens to live.
I’ve got to admit, that’s a pretty great use of the Wii U GamePad. If you missed the E3 trailer above, be sure to give it a watch now.
Nintendo @ E3 12: ZombiU lurches onto the Wii U

Ubisoft has revealed a new zombie game for the Wii U titled, wait for it, ZombiU. Groan at the pun. Or should it be moan?
Players will battle zombies using the Wii U GamePad to access a sonar tool, your inventory, a scanning tool, a sniper rifle. Shaking the Wii U GamePad will push away a zombie and tapping the touchscreen at the right moment can hack a door or security system.
Using the Wii U’s camera, you can also put yourself in the game as a zombie. Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime had great fun with it.
