The Banner Saga 3, Titan Quest, Flashback, more coming to Nintendo eShop this week

It looks like it’s time for another Nintendo eShop update. As usual, more than 20 new games will be available to download for the Switch. Here’s what’s on tap for this week…

RPG fans should be on the lookout for The Banner Saga 3, the grand finale to Stoic’s strategy RPG series, as well as Titan Quest, an action RPG that was originally released for the PC in 2006. Also set to launch this week for the Switch is Flashback, a modern remake of Delphine Software’s “cinematic platformer,” which was first released in 1992.

Finally this week, Nintendo will partner with Hamster Corporation to bring Sky Skipper, one of the consolemaker’s earliest arcade games, to the Switch.

The Banner Saga 3 – The Banner Saga 3 is the dramatic final chapter in the mature, story-driven Viking RPG series, which has won more than 20 awards and has been nominated for four BAFTAs. As the world continues to crumble around you, who can you trust, how will you protect your allies and what choices will you make as the Darkness draws near?

The King of Fighters ’97 – The King of Fighters ’97 is a fighting game released by SNK in 1997. Featuring popular characters from Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting, these fighters will battle to determine who is the strongest. The ADVANCED and EXTRA modes of gameplay offer an even deeper level of tactics. A total of 29 characters are available along with two gameplay modes!

Omega Fighter – Omega Fighter is a shooting game released by UPL in 1989. Use two kinds of Shots and a variety of items to defeat the enemies invading Earth and destroy their giant mothership. As enemies are approached and destroyed, your score increases in an intense shooting system that garnered many fans.

Sky Skipper – Sky Skipper is a shooting action game released in 1981 by Nintendo. Dodge enemy attacks and counterattack with your bombs! Get even more points by saving the right combination of four animals! Don’t forget to go and replenish your fuel when you run low. Fly through the sweeping skies in your biplane to save the king and animals!

Bud Spencer & Terence Hill: Slaps And Beans – Bud Spencer and Terence Hill in their first virtual adventure. A brand new story! Whether in the Western Saloon, Miami Downtown, at the fairground etc… you’ll get the full load of funny conversation, slaps and of course lots of mass brawls. Slaps And Beans is a co-operative or single player scrolling beat’em up game with the addition of platform elements and mini-games in which you’ll interpret the characters of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill.

Candle: The Power of the Flame – Candle is an adventure with challenging puzzles. Play as Teku, a young novice on a dangerous journey to rescue his tribe’s shaman from the evil tribe of the Wakcha. But the way is littered with sinister traps and difficult obstacles.

Code of Princess EX – Code of Princess EX brings a unique combination of hack-and-slash beat-‘em-up action and role-playing depth to Nintendo Switch! The story follows Princess Solange of DeLuxia as she fights to restore order in a world where monsters are trying to overtake the human race. Armed with the legendary sword DeLuxcalibur, Solange assembles a team of talented fighters to join her quest. Together, they embark on an epic journey where they will confront the monster uprising and try to discover it’s secret origins. – Available July 31

Crossing Souls – It’s 1986 in California. A group of friends discover a mysterious pink stone that allows to travel between two realms. This gang will live the summer of their lives in an adventure that will get them involved in a government conspiracy. Control five kids with special skills while fighting and solving puzzles in order to save their families and the world.

Element – Element is a realtime strategy space game for people who don’t have time to play realtime strategy space games. Home no longer provides a means to survive. A fight for resources to escape our system has begun. The future lies beyond… – Available July 27

Final Light: The Prison – Free the souls inside a secret prison. All with a Metroidvania gameplay and a roguelike philosophy. Governments and institutions manipulated by very powerful men, who created perverse constructions for their service under the pseudonym black butterfly. One of these terrifying secret buildings was the S-313 prison, created in 1968 in an inhospitable area unknown to humanity. – Available July 27

Flashback – 2142. After fleeing from a space ship but stripped of all memory, the eminent scientist Conrad B. Hart awakens on Titan, a colonised moon of the planet Saturn. Hello Neighbor – Hello Neighbor is a stealth horror game about sneaking into your neighbor’s house to figure out what horrible secrets he’s hiding in the basement. You play against an advanced AI that learns from your every move. Really enjoying climbing through that backyard window? Expect a bear trap there. Sneaking through the front door? There’ll be cameras there soon. Trying to escape? The Neighbor will find a shortcut and catch you. – Available July 27

Piczle Lines DX 500 More Puzzles! – Draw lines to connect pairs of numbers to complete a hidden picture in this feverishly addictive PICture puzZLE game! Zaccaria Pinball – Zaccaria was founded by three brothers (Marino, Franco, and Natale) and was the third-largest manufacturer of pinball machines in the world (behind Bally and Williams). They created and produced more than 35 different pinball machines between 1974 and 1987.

RTO 3 – The lunar base, where you are stationed as part of the security forces, is under siege. Having just escaped from enemy captivity you are now on your own and must fight against overwhelming odds to survive. Featuring large and complex levels with nonstop action RTO 3 is a first person shooter which will keep you entertained for hours.
