Telltale Games has announced that Minecraft: Story Mode Season 2‘s second episode, Giant Consequences, will be released for the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and mobile devices on August 15. This time, Jesse and friends are bound for a new adventure in the “icy unknown”:

Fans of Nintendo’s newest console will also be happy to learn that the Complete Adventure collection for the original Minecraft: Story Mode will be released for the Switch on August 22. Atlus Japan announces Persona Q2 for 3DS and pair of Persona dancing games for PS4, Vita

Fresh off the success of Persona 5, Atlus Japan has announced they have a trio of spinoff titles for the RPG franchise in the works.
Persona Q2 is a sequel to 2014’s Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, and its currently in development for the 3DS. Atlus has yet to announce a release date, but we did get a look at its tagline (“Take Your Heart”) and a Japanese-language official website (at PQ2.jp).
The publisher is also hard at work on two Persona dancing games, both for the PS4 and Vita. Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night and Persona 5: Dancing Star Night will be released for the PS4 and Vita in Spring 2018 (in Japan). You can find trailers for both after the break.
We don’t know when, or if, Persona Q2, Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night, and Persona 5: Dancing Star Night will make their way across the Pacific. But it seems likely that a North American release date for all titles will be announced soon. (more…)

Yacht Club will bring Shovel Knight’s King Knight campaign to PAX West 2017

Ready Thy Shovel!
Yacht Club Games has announced that Shovel Knight‘s final expansion/spinoff, the King Knight campaign, will be unveiled during this year’s PAX West expo:
You are hereby invited to join us on a royal adventure!
We'll be at PAX West Sep. 1st-4th with King Knight in our most glamorous game yet! pic.twitter.com/hsw70KH6Ib
— Yacht Club Games (@YachtClubGames) August 1, 2017
Yacht Club’s Nick Wozniak recently described King Knight’s campaign as “light-hearted” and “goofy,” so it likely won’t be as sad as Specter of Torment.
Shovel Knight’s King Knight campaign is expected to launch later this year, and will be available as a free expansion for all owners of the Treasure Trove bundle for the 3DS, PC, PS3, PS4, Switch, Vita, Xbox One, and mobile devices. The regal adventure will also be available as a standalone download on the PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
NetherRealm adds Tournament Shaders and Bizarro Superman Premier Skin to Injustice 2
Injustice 2 launched in May to rave reviews and big sales, and NetherRealm Studios has already begun to add new characters to the game including Red Hood and Sub-Zero (and the upcoming release of Starfire).
But the developer also recently added two new Shaders for each character and a brand new Premier Skin to the game. Shaders and Premier Skins can be unlocked using Source Crystals, Injustice 2’s in-game currency, which can be earned through the Multiverse Mode or purchased with real money from the game’s online storefront.
The black-and-gold and black-and-silver Tournament Shaders will provide a stylish change for any Gear loadout, and players who purchase the new color sets will help support Injustice 2’s esports community. Tournament Shader sets can be unlocked for 5,000 Source Crystals apiece, and NetherRealm has pledged to donate a portion of each purchase towards tournaments and community events.
Also now available in Injustice 2’s character customization menu is a new Premier Skin for Bizarro Superman. Unlockable for 6,000 Source Crystals, the Bizarro Superman Premier Skin transforms Superman into his backwards doppelganger, and adds completely new dialogue options to the game.

Resident Evil Revelations officially coming to PS4, Xbox One on August 29; Revelations 1 and 2 also coming to Switch in Late 2017
Just a day after announcing that they’re “starting to prepare” more games for the Switch, Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil Revelations and Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be released for Nintendo’s newest console in Late 2017.
Now updated for current generation consoles, Resident Evil Revelations is the acclaimed survival horror title featuring series veterans Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield as they investigate the reportedly abandoned “Queen Zenobia” cruise ship. This new version features a smoother 1920×1080 resolution, an improved framerate, increased environmental detail and refined creature movement, defining the best-looking version of the game to date. All previously released downloadable content is also included in the game as unlockable rewards.
The publisher also clarified that Resident Evil Revelations will be available for the PS4 and Xbox One, as a retail release and a digital download, on August 29. A new trailer to go along with the announcement has been embedded above.

Night Trap will be released for PC and PS4 on August 15
Screaming Villains has announced that Night Trap will make its radical return as a downloadable game for the PC and PS4 on August 15. The game is also in development for the Xbox One, and it’ll be available for Microsoft’s console at a later date.
Night Trap was one of the first games to use Full Motion Video (FMV), and was originally released for the Sega CD all the way back in 1992. This 25th Anniversary re-release includes the original game, as well as a special Survival Mode with randomized enemies, and a Theater Mode to watch all the story-related scenes in one sitting. A behind-the-scenes documentary will also be included to educate a new generation of fans about the game that scandalized a nation for its depiction of vampires invading a teenager’s slumber party.
Superfans will be able to pick up a copy of Night Trap a bit earlier. Limited Run Games will launch a Blu-ray version of the FMV classic in both a Standard Edition and a Collector’s Edition on August 11.
