Nintendo Download: Zelda Majora’s Mask, Dragon Ball Fusions, Breath of Fire II, more

It’s Thursday, so Happy Thanksgiving! And since Thursday is also the day Nintendo adds new games to the Nintendo eShop, let’s have a look…
This week, the consolemaker will add The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask to the Wii U eShop. Originally released for the Nintendo 64 back in 2000, Majora’s Mask is probably the most divisive game in the franchise’s history. But lots of people loved its unique structure and overall weird vibe, so it might be worth another look.
On the other side of the Nintendo eShop, a pair of RPGs are also available to download this week on the 3DS. Dragon Ball Fusions is the latest game based on the popular anime, and it combines “fighting, customization, and collection elements” to “see who the best fighters are.” Meanwhile, Capcom’s Breath of Fire II was originally released for the Super NES, and players can join the fight “to rid the world of a growing evil” today.
More information on all of these games (and a few other new releases) can be found after the break. (more…)

Xbox Store Today: Darksiders Warmastered, Batman: The Telltale Series – Episode 4
We’re getting closer to the end of the year, and new releases are starting to dry up. Which probably explains why the Xbox Games Store received only two new additions today.
First up is Darksiders: Warmastered Edition, an Xbox One re-release for the apocalyptic action RPG. Originally released for the Xbox 360 in 2010, the Warmastered Edition of Darksiders offers enhanced graphics, 60FPS gameplay, and brand new “post processing effects.”
Also available for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 this week is Batman: The Telltale Series – Episode 4: Guardian of Gotham, the latest chapter in Telltale’s retelling of Bruce Wayne earliest days beneath the cowl. This time, players will have to help Bruce escape from the not-so-friendly confines of Arkham Asylum… thankfully, he’s got a smiling friend to help him out.
More information about both games can be found after the break. (more…)
Sony will offer playable demos of more than 100 games at the 2016 PlayStation Experience

Sony’s PlayStation Experience has become a very important date on the annual gaming calendar, and for the last two years, it’s helped thousands of fans preview the year ahead for PlayStation platforms. 2016 doesn’t look to be an exception, as Sony has announced (via the PlayStation Blog) that more than 100 games will be playable on the show floor this year.
Like in years past, demo stations will be available for the biggest hitters in Sony’s first-party lineup (including The Last Guardian, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and Gran Turismo Sport), as well as smaller indies that have built up buzz at previous events like PAX or E3 or Gamescom (such as Flinthook, Graceful Explosion Machine, and Cosmic Star Heroine).
This year, Sony will kick things off with the PlayStation Showcase at 10:00 AM (Pacific Time) on Saturday, December 3. It’ll be followed by a series of secret panels, so we can expect plenty of new announcements to be made in Anaheim this year.
The full list of playable games that will be available at the 2016 PlayStation Experience can be found after the break. (more…)

Shop Steam’s Autumn Sale and nominate your favorite games for the first-ever Steam Awards
Steam kicked off their Autumn Sale this morning, and if you’re not interested in waiting for Black Friday, you should definitely check it out. The online storefront is offering big discounts all this week on popular franchises such as The Elder Scrolls, Batman: Arkham, Grand Theft Auto, Civilization, and many more.
Valve also announced the creation of The Steam Awards today, which will give the Steam Community a chance to nominate their favorite games in eight wide-ranging categories:
The “Test of Time” Award
This Award is for the game that is just as good today as the day you first played it. Newer games may come out, but it doesn’t matter… you’ll always come back to play this one.The “I’m Not Crying, There’s Something In My Eye” Award
Games are fun. But sometimes games become more than that, and touch you in a way you weren’t expecting. This Award celebrates the game that blindsided you emotionally. You weren’t expecting to cry. It wasn’t in the plan. But it happened none the less. The “Just 5 More Minutes” Award
You have an early day tomorrow. You need to get some sleep, so you’re just going finish one more thing before you decide to tuck in for the night. Just one more. Wait, one more. What’s that you say? It’s 2:30 AM? This Award is for the game that keeps you playing late. The “Whoooaaaaaaa, Dude” Award
Some games melt your face. Maybe it was a crazy plot twist. Maybe you just got your wisdom teeth removed. Either way, this game BLOWS YOUR MIND.The “Villain Most In Need Of A Hug” Award
Some people just need a hug.The “Game Within A Game” Award
Kinder Eggs. Peanut Butter Cups. Jelly Donuts. All great things stuffed with other great things. Like a mighty turducken, this Award celebrates the best mini game hidden within another game. The “I Thought This Game Was Cool Before It Won An Award” Award
This title didn’t have a huge marketing machine behind it, but you found it and loved it. Then you told your friends about it. And they loved it. And now that little game that could is about to win an Award… but always remember: you totally found it first. The “Best Use Of A Farm Animal” Award
Animals are rad and almost any game is better for including them. However this game used a farm animal in the best way possible. The “We Didn’t Think Of Everything” Award
There are as many great ideas for Awards as there are great games to play. And so we turn to the Steam Awards Selection Committee to come up with their own category and nominee. Senior members of the Selection Committee will review the write-in entries and create an entirely new category based on the feedback provided. (Name Pending Selection Committee Decision)
Nominations for The Steam Awards will be accepted until Tuesday, November 29, and the final vote will be held sometime in December.
Lego City Undercover will slide onto the Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One in Spring 2017

Lego City Undercover helped establish the Wii U as a place for interesting all-ages software back in 2013. Now, WB Games has confirmed the open world title will make a return engagement for the upcoming launch of Nintendo’s next console. Described by many as “Grand Theft Auto For Kids,” a port of Lego City Undercover is currently in development for the Switch, and it’ll be released for Nintendo’s console/handheld hybrid next Spring.
Not only will Nintendo fans get a chase to relive the adventures of Chase McCain, but according to this tweet, the game will also be available for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One:

The Nintendo Switch will launch in March 2017, and Nintendo plans to fully unveil their next console during a special livestream presentation on January 12.
Darksiders: Warmastered Edition, Amnesia Collection, Batman: Telltale Series – Episode 4, more added to PS Store
Holidays can be scary, but yesterday’s PlayStation Store update will turn the terror up a few notches with the launch of the Amensia Collection for the PS4. The Collection includes all three horror games in the franchise, starting with the original game, Amnesia: The Dark Descent. PS4 players will also get the chance to scream their heads off with the expansion, Amnesia: Justine; and the sequel, Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs.
Speaking of scary… the apocalyptic Darksiders is also available to download for this week. THQ Nordic will re-release the action RPG for the PS4 as Darksiders: Warmastered Edition, and players will get to experience the game with an enhanced 1080p presentation for the first time.
Elsewhere on the PlayStation Store, PlayStation VR owners will be able to step onto a real basketball court this week with NBA 2K VR Experience. The basketball-themed minigame collection includes an appearance by Paul George, and a trio of shooting challenges in virtual reality.
Finally this week, Telltale will continue Batman: The Telltale Series this week with the release of Episode 4: Guardian of Gotham on the PS4 and PS3. Bruce Wayne has gotten himself into some Arkham-related troubles, but maybe The Joker can lend him a helping hand… and a smile.
More information about all of these games (and a few other new releases) can be found after the break. And a full rundown of this week’s new add-ons is available at the PlayStation Blog. (more…)
