Mortal Kombat X now available on iOS App Store; coming to Google Play soon
The mobile version of Mortal Kombat X was quietly added to the iOS App Store last night by NetherRealm Studios. So now you can perform Fatalities on the go if you’ve got an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. However, if you’re an Android user, you’ll have to wait to hear Shao Kahn say “Finish Him!” as the Android version is currently “coming soon.”
Mortal Kombat X on mobile devices will feel very familiar to players who’ve previously downloaded Inustice: Gods Among Us, Batman: Arkham Origins, and WWE Immortals. Each fight involves a 3-on-3 battle and each character is represented by a card that can be leveled up and buffed. Players will also be able to link the mobile version of Mortal Kombat X with the PC/console release to unlock special content like costumes in each version.
And don’t worry, mobile players will be able to take part in Mortal Kombat X’s Faction Wars when the PC/PS4/Xbox One edition launches on April 14. A Challenge Mode will also be available soon, but players can join daily events and battle opponents in an multiplayer mode right now.

Bastion PS4 Review: Narrating The Kid’s Must-Play PS4 Debut

Four years ago, a small team of six known as Supergiant Games introduced themselves to the world with their debut game, Bastion. Bastion layered a nostalgia-heavy isometric action RPG over an impressive audio experience with a narrator that reacted to the on-screen action and an amazing soundtrack that I still spin every chance I get. It rightfully earned a place on hundreds of “Best of 2011” lists (including our own) and is often considered one of the best titles the Xbox Live Arcade has to offer.
Does it still hold up in 2015? Yes, it most certainly does. (more…)
PS Store Today: Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, Bastion, Tower of Guns, more

A handful of new releases were added to the PlayStation Store today including this week’s Spring Fever selection, Bastion. Originally released for the Xbox 360 and PC in 2011, Bastion is the first game from Supergiant Games, the creators of last year’s well-liked Transistor. If you like your isometric action RPGs with a side on in-game narration, Bastion is one to look out for. Other new releases this week include…
- Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin (PS4, PS3) – A re-release of Dark Souls II that includes all three DLC expansions, new story bits, and enhanced graphics.
- Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones (PS4/PS3/Vita Cross-Buy) – A puzzle platformer sequel from Curve Studios.
- Tower of Guns (PS4/PS3 Cross-Buy) – A “bullet hell” first person shooter.
More information on all of these titles (and a few others) can be found after the break. And a complete rundown of this week’s new add-ons and discounts can be found at the PlayStation Blog. (more…)
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided officially announced as “Can’t Kill Progress” sleepily continues

Poor Square Enix. Their three-day “Can’t Kill Progress” event is turning out to be a bust. Viewers of the livestream have spent the majority of the last 24 hours watching an imprisoned man sleep and (occasionally) scream at his captors. If you’re still interested, by all means, keep watching. But the rest of us no longer need to as Game Informer has confirmed their next cover story will be Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, which is in development for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Oh, and a Russian gaming site also leaked the news a few hours ago. So even this big reveal turned out to be a bust. Whoops!
It may have been a clumsy announcement, but fans of 2011’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution should be thrilled to see the story continue in Eidos Montreal’s next game:
Set in 2029, two years after the events of Human Revolution, Adam Jensen returns and joins forces with an Interpol-funded task force aiming to hunt down and capture augmented terrorists in a world that now hates and fears transhumans. Jensen has a new suite of augmentations that allow him to cleverly navigate stealth, combat, and social interactions, but how Jensen chooses to solve every problem is entirely up to you.
At the end of Human Revolution, the Illuminati caused every transhuman to go into a fight-or-flight response and attack anyone near them. In the next issue of Game Informer, you can find out how this event caused humanity to hate and fear those with augmentations. We spent two days in Eidos Montreal’s studio, talking with the team and learning about how they build a realistic future. We go in depth on some of Jensen’s new augmentations that help improve the stealth and combat systems, such as the ability to remote hack electronic objects, fire off his nano blade from a distance, and surround himself with a nearly indestructible nanoshield. We also got some great examples on how the game will be as open ended as ever, allowing players to carve their own path through the world. You can only get these details in the latest issue of Game Informer.
A release date for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has yet to be announced.

Bandai Namco parks motorcycle racer Ride until June 23
Bandai Namco has announced Ride, a motorcycle racer from developer Milestone, won’t cross the finish line on May 19 as previously thought. Instead, the game will be released on June 23 for the PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360. No reason was given for the month-long delay.
Ride will launch as expected across Europe this Friday, April 10.
CD Projekt is developing two “massive” expansions for The Witcher 3

CD Projekt Red says they want to bring back “a time when add-on disks truly expanded games” with the announcement of two “massive” expansions for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt…
Hearts of Stone will take Geralt on an all-new, 10-hour-plus adventure into the wilds of No Man’s Land and the nooks and alleys of Oxenfurt, where he’ll try to complete a contract from the mysterious Man of Glass. Caught in a thick tangle of deceit, Geralt will need all his cunning and strength to solve the mystery and emerge unscathed.
Blood and Wine is a 20-hour-plus tale that will introduce the all-new in-game region of Toussaint, will take Geralt to a land untainted by war, where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret.
As you can see, when CD Projekt Red says massive, they mean massive. But massive takes time. The developer plans to release Hearts of Stone in October while Blood and Wine will be available sometime in early 2016. CD Projekt Red co-founder Marcin Iwinski believes it’ll be worth. He said, “Both our expansions offer more hours of gameplay than quite a few standalone games out there.”
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on May 24.

Mysterious symbols in CoD: Black Ops II multiplayer might point to Black Ops 3 reveal

For the past few years, Activision has revealed the newest game in the Call of Duty franchise in May. But this year, it looks like they plan to tease out the latest announcement using a series of secret messages and hidden clues.
The first clue was found yesterday within Call of Duty: Black Ops II‘s multiplayer maps by YouTube user Drift0r. According to Drift0r, posters in the “Terminal” map have been edited to include a Snapchat watermark. Scanning the watermark in Snapchat will add a Call of Duty-connected user to your Friends List. Eventually, your new friend will send you videos that hint at the brainwashing techniques used in Black Ops II. Videos such as this one:

Treyarch, the developer behind Black Ops II, will the main developer of this Fall’s Call of Duty title. So while we don’t know for sure that these clues are hinting at Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, it certainly seems like a very real possibility.

Nintendo will publish Yo-Kai Watch 3DS game in North America and Europe
Nintendo has announced they will publish Yo-Kai Watch in North America and Europe. Massively popular in Japan, Yo-Kai Watch is a 3DS game developed by Level-5 that centers on a young boy’s adventures with Yo-Kai, mischievous spirits that are unseen by most of humanity.
Yo-Kai Watch centers on a boy who gets a special watch that lets him befriend and help mischievous Yo-Kai and later summon them to fight other Yo-Kai. Players can overcome challenges and help various characters solve everyday problems with the help of Yo-kai friends. These eccentric Yo-Kai resemble anything from inanimate objects to mythical creatures.
Yo-Kai: They are not ghosts, monsters, or creatures. Yo-Kai are, quite simply, Yo-Kai. They cannot be seen by the human eye, but they are everywhere. Whether born from the soul of a deceased human, or an everyday object discovering its higher purpose, their personalities are distinctly humanlike.
“With sales of more than 7 million units in Japan, Yo-Kai Watch is coming to the US, where a new audience will be able to experience this irresistible franchise for the first time,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “It doesn’t matter if you’re a kid, parent, fan, or fan-in-the-making: Everyone will be won over by this charming game.”
The 3DS launch of Yo-Kai Watch is currently without a release date, but it is expected to be released sometime in 2016. The anime adaptation will make its North American debut this Fall.
