MotorStorm RC revs up on PSN, Vita on March 6
Get ready for some big MotorStorm fun in a tiny package! MotorStorm RC will be coming to the PSN and the Vita on March 6 for just $9.99, says the PlayStation Blog.
According to Game Director Paul Rustchynsky, the game “started out as a simple concept we were playing around with during lunch times, a pet project to challenge each other to set the fastest times, originally using post-its on the wall as a low-fi leaderboard!”
The game looks like an awful lot of teeny fun, and with the ability to play it on both your PS3 and take it on the go on your Vita, there’s a lot of potential here for replayability – or constant playability.
Be sure to pick the game up on March 6, and “check out the extremely rare vehicles while you’re [in the PlayStation Store]… if that sort of thing takes your fancy.”

Indie Game: The Movie going on tour
Indie Game: The Movie is leaving Sundance and (hopefully) coming to a theater near you. Their super selective tour is starting out in Santa Cruz, CA; San Francisco, CA; Asheville, NC; Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Chicago, IL; and Cambridge, MA. If you’re lucky enough to live in one of those cities, grab your tickets here.
What is Indie Game: The Movie? I’m glad you asked. It’s a documentary about four game developers – Jonathan Blow, Phil Fish, Edmund McMillen, and Tommy Refenes – and their trials and tribulations in the creation, release, and speculation of their independent video games. “Four developers, three games, and one ultimate goal— to express oneself through a video game,” is how it has been described by Sundance.
This movie looks beautiful, and I can’t wait to see it. I’ve got my fingers crossed that it will come to Philadelphia, but if not, I’m definitely picking up the DVD – and you should too.
Street Fighter DLC announced for Asura’s Wrath
Asura’s Wrath just came out this past Tuesday, and Capcom has already announced that there is Street Fighter DLC incoming for it. It looks like Asura will go head-to-head with Ryu and several other World Warriors.
But the Street Fighter pack will actually be the third DLC set released for Asura’s Wrath. Before that, Capcom is planning to release a pair of DLC expansions that fill in what happened between two of the game’s episodes.
This game already seems like a bundle of frenetic fun, and this DLC announcement just sweetens the pot. Pick up the game for PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 today.

Young Justice: Legacy announced
Young Justice, a Cartoon Network show, is about the get the RPG treatment with its own video game, Young Justice: Legacy. Game publisher Little Orbit has signed on with Warner Bros. to create a multiplayer action RPG for the DS, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360.
New episodes of the show will begin airing on March 3. The show features Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian and Artemis as teenage heroes, sent out as a covert team by the Justice League. The game will take place between the first season and the second season, and is being written with Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti, the two show writers. The game will feature “fan favorite playable characters, cameo appearances by popular Justice League heroes and villains, and includes online multiplayer as well as local multiplayer modes.”
Matt Scott, CEO of Little Orbit, said, “The TV series is a fantastic combination of compelling writing, witty humor, iconic art, and exciting action sequences. The creators have done an amazing job blending over 180 DC Comics characters into their show filtered through a new, youthful perspective. The new video game contains a slew of cool features and a large playable cast of familiar heroes, but our core mission is to create a unique experience that fits seamlessly into the world of the show and offers a new way to interact with these popular DC Comics characters.”
Young Justice: Legacy will be out in early 2013.
Medal of Honor: Warfighter revealed ahead of GDC
Rumor was that the sequel to 2010’s Medal of Honor would be revealed at the Game Developers Conference. Today, Medal of Honor: Warfighter was announced as Official Xbox Magazine’s April cover.
According to Game Informer, the game – both campaign and multiplayer – will be developed by Danger Close using the Frostbite 2.0 engine, and will be released this October. DICE will not be involved in the multiplayer this time around.
I’m a little bummed DICE won’t be involved, but I’m eager to see what Danger Close can do with an entire game under their control. I’m also surprised to see the game being revealed in OXM, seeing as Sony had the sweet deal with EA before (with Medal of Honor: Frontline included in copies of Medal of Honor).
Either way, I know I’m eager to see more, which will hopefully happen in just a few short weeks at GDC.
Daily Scoop: February 23, 2012 – That Borderlands 2 trailer song
If you’re anything like me, you’ve watched that awesome Borderlands 2 trailer half a dozen times already, wishing you knew whose song was playing in the background. Well, good news: my amazing boyfriend gave me the answer! The artist is Nero and the song is called “Doomsday.” I mean, I know a lot of people are loving or hating on dubstep right now, but I’m really digging this song. And that title is pretty fitting for the trailer…
