Daily Scoop: November 4, 2014 – Call of Duty day!
Today is the launch of yet another Call of Duty game, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. I haven’t gotten hooked on a CoD game since Black Ops, and I’m not going to let it happen again now. Well, OK, I might. But not, like, right now.
Anyway, let’s talk deals! The Humble Store has Spintires on sale for $17.99, and you can also grab Cosmonautica, which is in early access.
Over at Steam, the Mideweek Madness is Banished, which is on sale for $9.99. The Daily Deal is one I’m pretty stoked about – it’s Gauntlet for just $13.39. You can also get a four-pack for $40.19. Grab three friends and get down to business!
There is an absurd number of awesome shirts today. Hit the jump to check them out!

Daily Scoop: November 3, 2014 – Crazy Monday
It’s Monday again, and this time, it means business. This day started out with my ceiling leaking in my bedroom and hasn’t gotten much better since. But it is a gorgeous day outside, so I can’t complain too much! I’m done with all that wind from the weekend.
There’s not a lot going on today deal-wise. Steam has 66 games on sale in their Weeklong Deals. You can get VVVVVV for $2.49, Lead and Gold for $3.39, and Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising for $0.99, among many others. And their Daily Deal is Hatoful Boyfriend, which is just $4.99 today! Scoop ’em up!
Let’s check out today’s t-shirts!

Rockstar is getting ready to release Grand Theft Auto V on next-gen consoles, and with that, it’s also delivering a lot of extras as loyalty rewards to those who upgrade from their old PS3 and Xbox 360 editions. These rewards come as new items and activities, including a Murder Mystery (which lets you unlock two “Noir Style Filters”), weapons, vehicles, and the ability to photograph a bunch of Monkey Mosaics. Hit the jump for full details on all of the rewards, or check out Rockstar’s announcement.
Grand Theft Auto V will be released on November 18 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will be coming to PC on January 27, 2015. (more…)
Adam Sessler takes you behind the scenes of Evolve’s development
Adam Sessler is hosting a new miniseries about Evolve, called “The Evolution of Evolve.” He sits down with Design Director Chris Ashton and Creative Director Phil Robb from Turtle Rock Studios and discusses the development and design of this enormous game. “Part 1: Asymmetric Multiplayer Design and Big Alpha” takes a look at the way the game throws balance on its head, as well as what the developers hope to gain from the Big Alpha.
Evolve is scheduled to launch on February 10, 2015 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Square Enix wants you to “Enter the Fray” in new Final Fantasy Type-0 trailer
Square Enix just released an awesome new trailer for Final Fantasy Type-0 to kick off Paris Games Week. It’s surprisingly violent, truly beautiful, and it looks like every YA novel I’ve ever loved. You get to play as teenagers with special magic abilities who are fighting against the aggressive country that has taken them over. I mean come on.
I, for one, cannot wait to control the fourteen students of Class Zero and fight against my oppressors. Final Fantasy Type-0 will be out on March 17, 2015 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Pre-ordering the game also gives you access to a demo for Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae (when it’s available). So. Much. Final. Fantasy.
