CoD: Black Ops III Descent DLC Pack includes four multiplayer maps, zombies, dragons
Treyarch is back with another expansion pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops III. The Descent DLC Pack will be available to download for the PS4 on July 12 and, as always, it’ll contain four multiplayer maps and a new Zombies episode.
Descent’s multiplayer maps will feature a favorite from Black Ops II, an isolated lab, a Viking village, and a modern-day coliseum:
- Empire: Treyarch adapts its Black Ops III movement system to the Call of Duty: Black Ops II fan favorite map Raid. The re-imagining of this classic, medium-sized map features an authentic Roman villa that has been “recreated by a modern-day eccentric billionaire,” where a classic map structure mixes with the new gameplay mechanics of Black Ops III.
- Cryogen: Located far off the coast in the Dead Sea, an isolated compound holds some of the world’s most dangerous criminals in frozen isolation. Sentry towers keep watch over the small map’s circular design as frenetic combat is funneled around the prison’s cryogenic tubes, where opportunities for wall running attacks abound.
- Berserk: Ancient sentinels from a lost civilization guard the entrance to Berserk, a Viking village frozen in time. Players will fight through blizzards, and control the center bridge as they navigate this medium-sized map’s wooden buildings, deadly rocky outcroppings, and tight chokepoints.
- Rumble: Gamers battle amongst larger-than-life mechanized warriors in Rumble, a stadium where giant robots battle to the roar of the crowd. This medium-sized map funnels high-speed combat to the central arena, where players battle their way through fallen mechs and pyrotechnics.
But things really get crazy when you dig into the new Zombies Mode map, “Gorod Krovi.” Not only will players be forced to push back an assault from a “mechanized zombie infantry,” but they’ll also have to watch out for flying fireballs from a squadron of dragons:
Descent also thrusts players to an alternate universe of Nikolai’s motherland, the 1940s Soviet Union, in the next highly-anticipated chapter of the Origins Zombies saga, Gorod Krovi. Players face-off against a swarm of mechanized zombie infantry and dodge hell-fire from aerial dragon assaults, all in the middle of a raging battle within the remnants of Stalingrad. Gorod Krovi delivers the most exciting Zombies experience yet, filled with horrifying new enemies, exciting new gameplay mechanics and an epic set of Zombie annihilating weapons.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s Descent DLC Pack will also be available to download for the PC and Xbox One sometime in August.

Han and Chewie finally star in a Lego Star Wars: Force Awakens Character Trailer
As expected, WB Games saved the best for last and released one more Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens Character Trailer today, this time focusing on Han Solo and Chewbacca. There’s probably no deeper meaning behind a scene showing everyone’s favorite smuggler picking off a pair of Stormtroopers with a blaster, but it sure does look cool, doesn’t it?
Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens is available today for the 3DS, PC, PS3, PS4, Vita, Wii U, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
Tumblestone and its multiplayer action-puzzle magic will launch on July 12
If you’re old enough to remember the 90s heyday of multiplayer “action-puzzle” games, then Tumblestone should be on your radar. A match-3 puzzle game similar to Bust-A-Move, Tumblestone was by The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild, and it’ll be released for the PC, PS3, PS4, Vita, Wii U, and Xbox One on July 12. Best of all, if you’re an Xbox Live Gold subscriber, you’ll be to download it for free as part of the Games With Gold program.
Tumblestone will include a massive Story Mode, online and local multiplayer modes, a trio of arcade-style modes, and a Quest Mode with hundreds of unique Quests to complete.
And be sure to watch Tumblestone’s “Cinematic” Trailer, it’s embedded above and absurdly fun. Though it doesn’t look so crazy when you compare it to the PAX East “Reactions” trailer, which is available after the break.
Warner Bros. will release the Minecraft movie on May 24, 2019

Are you excited for the Minecraft movie? I hope you can keep your excitement going for the next three years, as Warner Bros. announced today that Minecraft: The Movie will open in theaters on May 24, 2019. And if you need to really immerse yourself in Minecraft’s blocky world, the movie will also be released in 3D and IMAX.
We still don’t know much else about Minecraft: The Movie (and even that’s just a working title), but Mojang COO Vu Bui had this to say on the developer’s official website:
Yes, that might seem like a long time away, but it just so happens to be the right amount of time to make it completely awesome. And we all want an awesome Minecraft movie, right?
Rob McElhenney, Mac from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, has been tapped to direct the adaptation, so hopefully he brings the same sense of zaniness to Minecraft: The Movie.
Telltale is “aiming” to release all five episodes in their Batman series by December

We got some good news today from Telltale’s PR Director, Job Stauffer. He confirmed (via Twitter) that the team is “aiming” to complete development on all five episodes in Batman: The Telltale Series by the end of the year.
However, Stauffer did caution that Episode 5 might be released in Early 2017:
.@GamesRadar Regardless, you *will* play the majority of the series this year, if not all of it, after it premieres later this Summer!
— Job J Stauffer (@jobjstauffer) June 24, 2016
The first episode from Batman: The Telltale Series will make its debut on consoles, mobile devices, and the PC later this Summer… though there’s a possibly it could be released as early as next month.
Capcom reveals more details about Balrog’s abilities in Street Fighter V
Last night, Capcom confirmed that Balrog will be part of this Friday’s massive update for Street Fighter V, which also includes the Cinematic Story Campaign, Ibuki, and a number of new stages and costumes.
The Cinematic Story Campaign will be a free update, but if you’re interested in the bruising boxer known as Balrog, Capcom provided an update on his new fighting style this morning at the Capcom-Unity blog:
About Balrog
Balrog in Street Fighter V still remains as one of Shadaloo’s top enforcers, working alongside M. Bison, F.A.N.G and Vega. Be sure to check out his Character Story and of course the Cinematic Story Mode to see what sort of trouble he gets himself into this time around. His playstyle in Street Fighter V puts the focus on his devastating punches, and with the use of his V-Trigger, he can chain these attacks together to deal serious damage. He also has a few cheap attacks up his sleeve to keep the fight in his favor, so don’t let your guard down for a moment!
V-Skill: KKB
A unique move that twirls his body while moving forward. While activated, you can dodge projectiles as well as string together attacks. You can even activate KKB before a special hits you, allowing you to be a technical inside fighter.V-Trigger: Crazy Rush
A chance to be the aggressor when activated! Steam rises from his body and allows you to string together specials like Charging Buffalo and Bursting Buffalo.Critical Art: Gigaton Blow
Unleash the fury from your fist with this simple, yet destructive critical art. It can be connected with various moves. Make sure to include it in your combos.
And in case you missed it, Balrog’s Reveal Trailer has been embedded above.

Balrog is also stepping into the ring for Street Fighter V’s June update… which was pushed back to July 1
There’s some good news and some bad news on the Street Fighter V front.
The bad news isn’t all that bad, so let’s start there. Capcom announced last night that the Story Expansion and Ibuki won’t be ready to go by the end of the month as originally planned. But don’t panic! The good news is that we’re only looking at a minor delay and both will be available to download this Friday, July 1.
The even better news is that players will also be able to download Balrog this Friday as well. The beloved boxer will return to the Street Fighter universe as a free download for Season Pass owners, and as a standalone download for everyone else. You can get your first look at Balrog’s new appearance in the Reveal Trailer above, which also includes a glimpse at Juri and Urien, the final two Street Fighter V additions planned for 2016.
And in case you missed it, “Tokido” emerged victorious over “Infiltration” during last night’s Street Fighter V Finals at CEO 2016.

Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released in less than 48 hours, but WB Games and TT Games are still cutting together new Character Trailers for the title, including the newest one starring Rey (with new dialogue from Daisy Ridley).
We still don’t know if her last name is Skywalker or Kenobi or Solo, but we do know that Rey has natural Force abilities, and you can see them all in this trailer. Watch as she uses her staff to disable a foe, blasts away at a few Stormtroopers, and gives Kylo Ren something to cry about.
Lego Star Wars: Force Awakens will be released for the 3DS, PC, PS3, PS4, Vita, Wii U, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on June 28.
