Capcom will release Remember Me on June 4… don’t forget!
Capcom has announced that Remember Me will be available for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 on June 4 (June 7 in Europe).
The game, which was developed by Dontnod Entertainment, takes place in the futuristic city of Neo-Paris. Players will control “memory hunter” Nilin, who needs to remix people’s memories while trying to recover her own.
This new release date is a slight delay for Remember Me, which was originally expected to be released in May.

THQ plans to sell off Darksiders, Red Faction, Homeworld, more in May

The THQ sell-off will continue this Spring as the publisher has announced that four major franchises will go up for auction as well as two compilations of lesser franchises.
Darksiders (which went unsold at the initial THQ auction), Red Faction, Homeworld, and the MX racing franchise have all been put on the block by THQ. The company will also sell the rights to a package of original properties (including Big Beach Sports, Destroy All Humans!, Summomner, and others) and a package of licensed games (Marvel Super Hero, Supreme Commander, Worms, and others). A new owner for each franchise will be chosen sometime in May.
If you’ve ever wanted to own a formerly top-selling video game franchise, you should get in touch with THQ by emailing them at auction@thq.com by April 1. But be aware, you’ll be expected to show proof of funds in case your bid is selected by the creditors committee.
Of course, how much could something like Destroy All Humans! (which, admittedly, I love) actually go for?

Kickstart This! Don’t Throw Rogue System Omega With Your Enemy Golem Mind

Welcome to our monthly trek into the tumultuous world of crowdsourcing donations that is Kickstarter. As always, we have picked a handful of new gaming projects that we feel are worthy of your hard-earned cash. You could master how to manipulate the world with your brainwaves in Throw Trucks With Your Mind, or spread the bubonic plague in Death Inc. Perhaps you would rather fly trading missions through space in Rogue System, or play as an elemental wolf in Omega. If that does not whet your appetite, you could also play a mash-up of old games in Enemy, or delve into Jewish folklore to take on The Golem. (more…)
Bugbear’s Next Car Game is probably a new FlatOut game
Bugbear Entertainment is best known for the FlatOut series of games, a trio of titles that featured destruction derby-type racing not unlike Psygnosis’s long lamented Destruction Derby series. The developer has opened a new website to promote their next game, which is currently known by the working title Next Car Game, and which they promise is a return to their roots:
We’re making a new car game. This time we’re going back to our roots – just like all of our fans have been asking us to do! If you like what you see above, you’re going to love it.
It’s all in-game footage!
So yeah, it’s probably a new FlatOut game, even if it doesn’t end carrying the FlatOut name. Next Car Game will be available for the PC and “yet to be announced consoles.”
First Penny Arcade 4 battle screenshots include helpful monsters and more
The development of Penny Arcade’s On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 4 is coming along nicely at Zeboyd Games and the duo believes the project is far enough along to release a few screenshots showing off the new battle system (you can see them for yourself after the break).
Zeboyd is trying something a bit different with Penny Arcade 4. They’ve decided to ditch the Class system and replace it with a monster recruiting/training mode instead. And two of the monsters you’ll be able to recruit are the refined gentlemen monsters, Twisp and Catsby!
After they’ve agreed to join your team, monsters can be assigned a human trainer, which will affect how their stats level up. A new “Analyze” feature will also be added to your bag of holding, which will allow the Startling Developments Detective Agency a chance to pre-select which team members would be best to send into battle against a group of evil monsters.
Penny Arcade’s On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 4 will be on display at this year’s PAX East show (March 22-24) and will be available in the Spring on PC download services and the Xbox Live Indie Games channel. (more…)

Murdered: Soul Suspect officially set for early 2014 release

This morning, Square Enix officially announced their supernatural crimesolving sim, Murdered: Soul Suspect. Because solving your own murder with the help of friendly ghosts is something you can simulate, right?
The game, which will be released in early 2014, is in development for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 at a mystery developer. In addition to announcing Murdered, Square Enix has thrown open the doors of the game’s online presence including an official website, a Facebook page, and a Twitter feed.
A teaser trailer for Murdered: Soul Suspect was released yesterday.

First Murdered: Soul Suspect trailer asks you to solve your own murder
“The hardest murder to solve is your own.”
That’s the premise behind Square Enix’s latest game, Murdered: Soul Suspect. The vague and moody trailer above hints at a ghostly explanation for a man’s murder and the supernatural means he’ll employ to solve his own untimely demise. Or maybe not. Remember, moody, but also vague.
Murdered: Soul Suspect is now in development for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. It’ll likely be released sometime this year.

There’s just two new releases this week (though more to come thanks to the download services of Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo), but they definitely both qualify as BIG new releases.
