Xbox UK wants to prepare us for “7 Ways Cuphead Is Going To Utterly Destroy You”
Studio MDHR will finally release Cuphead for the PC and Xbox One this month, and the side-scrolling shooter recently made appearances at Gamescom and PAX West. While attendees got to experience its insane difficulty firsthand, it’s hard to believe a game as adorable as Cuphead could be so brutal.
Thankfully, Xbox UK is here to help.
Microsoft’s British team has put together “7 Ways Cuphead Is Going To Utterly Destroy You,” a new video that highlights some of the most difficult moments from the game. Hopefully, your thumbs will be up to the task when Cuphead launches for the PC and Xbox One on September 29.

As you might have guessed, Frank’s Big Package will include the original game, along with all three downloadable expansions, and a brand new mode known as “Capcom Heroes.”
The special “Capcom Heroes” mode will add more than a dozen new costumes to the game (including Mega Man), which grand Frank the powers and abilities of classic Capcom characters. The Capcom-Unity blog has a full rundown on what players will find as they explore Frank’s Big Package:
Dead Rising 4: Frank’s Big Package
- Dead Rising 4: The latest, greatest version of the game including post-launch difficulty settings and upcoming updates.

Sonic Forces and Total War: Warhammer II march on PAX West 2017 for Sega

The 2017 PAX West expo begins in just a few days, and Sega has unveiled the two games they plan to showcase at the Seattle-based event… Sonic Forces and Total War: Warhammer II.
Sonic Forces will be showcasing three action-packed stages featuring Modern Sonic, Classic Sonic and an all new, series-first, fully customizable Hero character, blazing through enemy laden levels at breakneck speed. Sonic Forces puts players in a world already taken over by Dr. Eggman and his evil group of henchmen, which includes Chaos, Metal Sonic, Shadow, and Zavok who are ready to create next-level panic and disorder. Come along and check it out on one of our eight PlayStation 4 stations.
Once you’re done with collecting rings, take up arms and crush your foes in Total War: Warhammer II. The second part of Creative Assembly’s epic fantasy trilogy brings players a breath-taking new narrative campaign, set across the vast continents of Lustria, Ulthuan, Naggaroth and the Southlands. The Great Vortex Campaign builds pace to culminate in a definitive and climactic endgame, an experience unlike any other Total War title to date. There will be two playable quest battles on offer across 27 PCs, featuring three out of the four races available at launch: Skaven vs Lizardmen and Skaven vs Dark Elves.
Both games will be available to play in Sega’s booth, which will be located on Level 4 in Booth #1601.

Monster Hunter: World – Step further into the booth and under his wings, and you’ll get to play our latest four player co-op demo of Monster Hunter: World, the first public showing in North America! Featuring all 14 weapon types, two quests to choose from, and the entire expanse of the Ancient Forest at your fingertips, there is a lot to explore here! Bring your hunting party or make new friends in line, but just remember to have fun and work together— the Anjanath certainly won’t be holding back!
PAX West will take place this weekend, September 1st through the 4th, at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle.
Kickstart This! Lona: Realm of Colors

I like to think I put my money where my mouth is, and this is very true of my relationship with Kickstarter. You could say I have something of a small obsession with helping other creatives get their projects off the ground. I jumped on the Yooka-Laylee bandwagon, funded inverted-planet flyer InnerSpace (which is now getting a console release), and still hold out hope that Knite & The Ghost Lights will see the light of day.
My most recent campaign contribution was to the shiny PELDA Pro battery case for the Nintendo Switch, because, like Gollum, I wants it! That means I cannot really afford to fund any more games. Which is a shame, because if I could, I would be funding Lona: Realm of Colors (even if they do spell “colour” wrong).

Play Far Cry 5 at PAX West 2017
Ubisoft has announced their PAX West 2017 booth will be devoted to one game… Far Cry 5. The open world action game is set to launch for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on February 27, and players will step into the shoes of a green junior deputy as they go deep undercover to stop a doomsday cult.
Today, Ubisoft announced its PAX West 2017 lineup, inviting fans to take down cultists via aerial dogfights, shootouts and more in an exciting demo of Far Cry 5, at the Ubisoft booth (#605) in Seattle from September 1–4. After a tense exchange with the Project at Eden’s Gate, attendees can get a change of pace and partake in a fishing competition. Competing against eight people, the person who catches the biggest fish in the span of 10 minutes will win a special Far Cry 5 pin.
Ubisoft will also host two panels at PAX West 2017 for their fans. One will offer a deeper look at Far Cry 5, while the other dives back into the world of this Spring’s For Honor:
Far Cry 5
September 2, 2:30 – 3:30 PM (Pacific Time)
Far Cry 5 throws players headlong into a war against the Project at Eden’s Gate, a sinister doomsday cult that has taken over idyllic Hope County, Montana. Join the resistance of Hope County as they rebel against the cult’s dark influence. Hosted by Achievement Hunter’s Jack Pattillo, the panel includes Lead Writer Drew Holmes and the talent bringing the colorful denizens of Hope County to life, Murry Peeters (Grace Armstrong), Martin Roach (Pastor Jerome Jeffries), Steve Byers (Nick Rye) and, that’s right, Boomer the dog.For Honor
September 4, 2:30 PM (Pacific Time)
Every week, the For Honor dev team presents a live show which connects them directly with their community. Answering questions, providing news and information and oftentimes a big peek behind the curtain of the game’s continuing post-launch development, the Warrior’s Den has become an important touchpoint for transparency and information for players. Now, for the first time ever, the For Honor team will be doing the show live and in person with their community. Join Creative Director Roman Campos Oriola, Game Director Damien Kieken, Lead Designer Bio Jade Adam Granger and Community Developer Eric Pope.
Fans who aren’t able to attend this year’s expo can view the Far Cry 5 panel on PAX’s Twitch channel. Likewise, the For Honor panel will be streamed on For Honor’s Twitch channel.
Learn more about Menat’s fighting style ahead of her Street Fighter V debut
Yesterday, Capcom unveiled the first gameplay trailer for Menat during the Hong Kong eSports Festival. Today, the game publisher released a few more details about her fighting style on the Capcom-Unity blog:
Character Overview
Menat is an apprentice of a famous Fortune teller that lives in Italy. The techniques she was taught revolve around her crystal sphere, which she controls with her soul power. This power lets her extend the base of her attacks, giving her a fortunate advantage at longer ranges. She is also able to send it out at the opponent to disrupt attacks, where she can later call it back. While the crystal sphere is out, she can cancel any normal attack and her V-Skill into Soul Sphere: Ankh, calling the crystal ball back to her, greatly increasing her combo potential.V-Skill: Soul Reflect – Kamal
Produce a shock wave attack from her soul power. While the crystal sphere is retracted, this lets her reflect the average projectile back at the opponent. If the crystal ball was sent out into battle prior to using her V-Skill, this will absorb the projectile to help build up her v-gauge. This can also be used to launch the opponent into the air to help extend combos.V-Trigger: Wisdom of Thoth
Menat summons six spheres with her soul power andeach sphere is linked to her normal attacks. Pressing and releasing of a normal attack sends the sphere linked to that attack flying at the opponent.Critical Art: The Nefertem
Menat sends her crystal sphere to bind her soul power with the opponent to deal devastating damage.
Street Fighter V owners will be able to download Menat beginning tomorrow, August 29. And in case you missed it, her debut trailer has been embedded above.
