Ninja Gaiden III pins down PlayStation Move functionality
I always love video game conferences because of all the new developments being announced; this week, Tecmo and Koei announced that the Playstation Move controller will be an added full functionality to the upcoming brutally-slashing sequel, Ninja Gaiden III.
The statement also notes that the Move functionality will “give players a new edge when slicing through their enemy’s flesh and bone.” Sounds interesting! It is Ninja Gaiden, after all. It simply wouldn’t be without the mention of tearing apart enemies. The Move should be a welcomed addition, but I’m curious to see how much more frustration this will add to the already-difficult series.

Medal of Honor: Frontline, Breath of Fire IV added to PS Store
Sony’s latest addition to the PlayStation Store should look familar to anyone who purchased EA’s Medal of Honor reboot last year. Included in every PS3 copy of the game was a high definition remake of Medal of Honor: Frontline, the franchise’s highly acclaimed PS2 debut. Today, Frontline HD became available as a separate PSN download for $14.99.
Also available this week is the PSone Classic Breath of Fire IV. A new entry in Konami’s RPG series hasn’t received a new entry in almost a decade, so this retro download may be as good as we get for awhile.
A complete list of all of this week’s new games and add-ons can be found at the PlayStation.Blog.
Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends has a release date
Dynasty Warriors 7 will still be warm on the shelves when Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends comes out for the PS3 November 15.
The standalone Xtreme Legends edition will feature new gameplay modes and enhanced weapons for the player to unlock. Guo Jia and Wang Yi are among some of the new characters being added to the game. An interesting feature is that if you pop in your Dynasty Warriors 7 disc, you will get a powered-up version of the original Dynasty Warriors 7 Story and Conquest modes.
Time to break out your favorite characters again to power up your weapons with magic and storm your way through some ancient Chinese Dynasties.

InFamous 2: Festival of Blood DLC announced
Cole McGrath is hungry for blood this Halloween. InFamous 2: Festival of Blood is the surprising next installment in the InFamous universe. It will be provided as DLC over the PSN, but you don’t need to have a copy of the original games to play. It is completely standalone.
What we know is that Cole has a brand new set of fangs and seemingly has a thirst for blood rather than electricity. In a newly themed New Marais, he has one night to find the head vampire and set things right. He will probably be using his new pointy dentures or a lighting tornado.
For those of you dying for an Infamous/”True Blood” crossover, I think that this is the best you are going to get.

Capcom and developer Ninja Theory are back with another helping of DMC: Devil May Cry gameplay video. First revealed at E3, Dante’s Gamescom debut showcases the demon hunter’s air combos and even a split second of white hair.

For those that are still worried that Dante doesn’t look right, Capcom has assured us that key members from the Devil May Cry team are working with Ninja Theory to make sure everything comes together in perfect harmony… like ebony and ivory.

Shred the world in this SSX Gamescom trailer
Winter is coming and EA games would like you to enjoy the snow from the comfort of your couch. The new SSX is out in January 2012 and features a gigantic range of mountains for you to hurl yourself down. Actually, you get to be like Scarface in this new SSX, because the world is literally yours as EA is promising 100,000-player “live events.”
The environments were developed with the help NASA topographical data. These mountains are legit, but the tricks you’ll be pulling will be anything but. From the looks of the trailer, a 1220 triple front flip over a helicopter is completely realistic. Looks like the over the top stunts are back and you can enjoy the mountain bombing insanity with a bunch of your friends.
The only way it could be more perfect is if you could smack a skier on the side of the head on your way down.

Well here’s a nice late night surprise. A few minutes ago, 2K Games released the first teaser trailer for Borderlands 2! The short clip focuses on new character Salvador the Gunzerker and his “shoot first, ask questions never” gameplay style.
