Lego City Undercover will slide onto the Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One in Spring 2017

Lego City Undercover helped establish the Wii U as a place for interesting all-ages software back in 2013. Now, WB Games has confirmed the open world title will make a return engagement for the upcoming launch of Nintendo’s next console. Described by many as “Grand Theft Auto For Kids,” a port of Lego City Undercover is currently in development for the Switch, and it’ll be released for Nintendo’s console/handheld hybrid next Spring.
Not only will Nintendo fans get a chase to relive the adventures of Chase McCain, but according to this tweet, the game will also be available for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One:

Darksiders: Warmastered Edition, Amnesia Collection, Batman: Telltale Series – Episode 4, more added to PS Store
Holidays can be scary, but yesterday’s PlayStation Store update will turn the terror up a few notches with the launch of the Amensia Collection for the PS4. The Collection includes all three horror games in the franchise, starting with the original game, Amnesia: The Dark Descent. PS4 players will also get the chance to scream their heads off with the expansion, Amnesia: Justine; and the sequel, Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs.
Speaking of scary… the apocalyptic Darksiders is also available to download for this week. THQ Nordic will re-release the action RPG for the PS4 as Darksiders: Warmastered Edition, and players will get to experience the game with an enhanced 1080p presentation for the first time.
Elsewhere on the PlayStation Store, PlayStation VR owners will be able to step onto a real basketball court this week with NBA 2K VR Experience. The basketball-themed minigame collection includes an appearance by Paul George, and a trio of shooting challenges in virtual reality.
Finally this week, Telltale will continue Batman: The Telltale Series this week with the release of Episode 4: Guardian of Gotham on the PS4 and PS3. Bruce Wayne has gotten himself into some Arkham-related troubles, but maybe The Joker can lend him a helping hand… and a smile.
More information about all of these games (and a few other new releases) can be found after the break. And a full rundown of this week’s new add-ons is available at the PlayStation Blog. (more…)

First episode of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier will be released on December 20

It looks like Telltale fans will have to shamble into December to get their next Walking Dead fix. Today, the developer announced that the (currently untitled) first episode of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier will premiere on December 20.
Like with Telltale’s previous games, fans will be able to download it for a large number of platforms including the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and mobile devices. Telltale also announced that everyone who pre-orders A New Frontier on the PS4 will also receive The Walking Dead Season 2 and The Walking Dead: Michonne for free.
The digital downloads will be followed by the release of a Season Pass Disc for the PS4 and Xbox One on February 7. The Season Pass Disc will include the first episode of the season, along with downloadable access to all subsequent episodes as they become available.
When family is all you have left… how far will you go to protect it? Four years after society was ripped apart by undead hands, pockets of civilization emerge from the chaos. But at what cost? Can the living be trusted on this new frontier? As Javier, a young man determined to find the family taken from him, you meet a young girl who has experienced her own unimaginable loss. Her name is Clementine, and your fates are bound together in a story where every choice you make could be your last.
Telltale debuted A New Frontier’s first trailer this past Summer at the E3 Expo, but they plan to give fans a closer look at the game during this year’s Game Awards on December 1.

Koei Tecmo will bring Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers to the PS4, Vita in January 2017
Believe it or not, but the next game in the Dynasty Warriors franchise is just two months away. Koei Tecmo has announced that Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers, a tactics-style spinoff from the main series, will be available as a digital download for the PS4 and Vita on January 31, 2017.
Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers will feature a huge number of characters from the franchise’s long history, as well as two new additions to the story: Lixia, “a girl with magical powers that was sealed in an icy shrine for centuries,” and Lei Bin, “Zhao Yun’s childhood friend and avid lore master.”
Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers unfolds during the chaotic end days of the Han dynasty, when ancient China was overwhelmed by uprisings and internal strife within its imperial court. The story follows renowned warrior Zhao Yun and his close friend Lei Bin, who unwittingly liberate a young girl, Lixia, from a mystical prison. The two friends and the mysterious Lixia then find themselves entangled in a pivotal struggle for the salvation of the world, wherein they must navigate the maelstrom that is Three Kingdoms era China, meet countless great warriors and take part in historic battles. In their efforts to unravel the mystery behind Lixia’s imprisonment, Zhao Yun and Lei Bin uncover a hidden, terrible fate, forcing them to make difficult decisions in a battle that will echo throughout history.
To go along with the release date announcement, Koei Tecmo also unveiled a trailer for Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers, and it’s embedded above.

Latest Yakuza 0 trailer gives us a peek at what gangsters do for fun
Sega’s Yakuza franchise has always offered players more than a simple and straightforward crime saga. Its open world is teeming with extracurricular activities, and the upcoming Yakuza 0 will carry on this proud tradition with dating, dancing, gambling, karaoke, classic arcade games, billiards, batting cages, and quite a bit more.
So let’s celebrate, and have a good time, with Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima in the game’s latest trailer:
Alluring flashing lights and neon signs adorn the numerous entertainment establishments that line the streets of the redlight districts of Kamurocho and Sotenbori. Feel like putting on a white suit and dancing the night away? Pop into the disco club Maharaja and tear up the dance floor. Trying to belt out some beautiful Japanese 80s power ballads? Visit Heroine Karaoke Bar and sing your heart out. More of a sports person? Hit up a batting cage or place a bet at the Japan Catfight Club. Want to try out some of the latest and greatest in video gaming? Visit the Sega Hi-Tech Land arcade to play some retro, I mean “cutting edge,” games like Super Hang On, Out Run, and Space Harrier. No matter what you’re feeling, there’s no shortage of fun and distractions in Yakuza 0!
Yakuza 0 will be released exclusively for the PS4 on January 24, but PlayStation Experience attendees will get the chance to test it out on the show floor next month in Anaheim.

Street Fighter V: 2016 Season Pass Review: A Look Back at All the New Content

To say that Street Fighter V released with a bit of criticism would be an understatement. Critics (including myself) and fans alike derided the game due to its lack of an Arcade Mode, small number of characters, and just overall feeling of incompleteness. That’s not to say the game was bad… it just felt lacking. Capcom made it clear they would release timely updates in order to keep the game feeling fresh, and they even made a Season Pass available shortly before launch to ensure fans could keep up with everything.
By the time Summer rolled around, we’d already received a pair of new characters, some stages, and a handful of costumes. Alex stepped into the fight in March, and All-American badass Guile dropped in April. Both characters were interesting, and they did keep the game going, but the major updates were still in the future. Thankfully, Capcom delivered a full-fledged major update by July. Some of the items were technically supposed to release in June, but hey – what’s the difference between June 30th and July 1st, right? (more…)

2K Games will release NBA 2K VR Experience on November 22
2K Games has announced that NBA 2K VR Experience, a standalone collection of basketball-themed minigames, will be released tomorrow for the Vive HTC (PC), PlayStation VR (PS4), and Gear VR (Android).
In the NBA 2K VR Experience, players will join NBA 2K17 cover athlete and All-Star Paul George, as they step onto the court at the Indiana Pacers’ stadium, Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Paul George will also provide commentary and guide the player by offering tips to help improve their skills in mini-games, which include three-point shootout, a speed and accuracy skills challenge, and the buzzer beater countdown. Players can earn a variety of Gatorade fuel boosts that will aide their shooting acumen, speed, recovery, and more to help reach the top of the leaderboards.
“Our team consistently looks for new ways to deliver unique, fun experiences for the gamer,” said Greg Thomas, the President of Visual Concepts. “NBA 2KVR will give fans even more access to our franchise and test new skills across entertaining VR challenges.”
The NBA 2K VR Experience will available to download for $14.99. It’s also in development for the Oculus Rift (PC), and it’ll be available for Facebook’s virtual reality headset at a later date.
