It’s Official: Call of Duty: Ghosts will launch on November 5
The Internet may have spoiled the surprise a few days ago, but Activision went ahead and officially announced the tenth game in the Call of Duty series, Call of Duty: Ghosts.
As expected, Ghosts is being developed by Infinity Ward and will be available for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 on November 5. A Wii U version was not specifically mentioned by the publisher, but let’s face it, a Wii U box was part of last week’s initial leak and, more importantly, why wouldn’t Ghosts come to the Wii U?
The game is also coming to “next-generation consoles” sometime this year, presumably whenever it is those consoles (the PS4 and Xbox 720/Durango) launch. Activision has confirmed that a more in-depth look at Ghosts will take place during Microsoft’s next Xbox reveal event on May 21.

WB Games announces Lego Marvel Super Heroes pre-order bonuses
In addition to releasing the neat teaser trailer above, WB Games has revealed the pre-order bonuses for Lego Marvel Super Heroes. As of right now, there are three retailer-exclusive pre-order bonuses and you can check them out right here:
Walmart: Receive an ultra exclusive Iron Patriot mini-fig when the game releases.
GameStop: Receive a Spider-Man keychain when you pre-order any version of Lego Marvel Super Heroes (available when the game releases). PowerUp Rewards members also receive an exclusive DLC pack containing “extra characters (including Spider-Man Symbiote, Hawkeye, Thanos, and much more), vehicles, and races!” (PS3 and Xbox 360 only).

Ghostly images on CallofDuty.com point to Call of Duty 10 reveal
The official Call of Duty website has a new landing page courtesy of publisher Activision that will likely lead to a Call of Duty 10 reveal very soon.
The page features a ghostly mosaic created using the Twitter and Facebook profile pictures of people who’ve talked about Call of Duty in the last few hours. Previous rumors have targeted May 1st for this year’s Call of Duty debut announcement.
Hmm… a ghostly mosaic… that couldn’t be a hint that Call of Duty: Ghosts is real, now could it?
Ubisoft spies a November 19 release date for Watch Dogs; Xbox 720 version confirmed
The secret is out… Ubisoft has announced that Watch Dogs will be released on November 19. On that date, the game will be available for the PC, PS3, Wii U, and Xbox 360. A PS4 version is in the works and will be released at the next-generation console’s launch. Finally, Ubisoft has confirmed that Watch Dogs is also coming to “other next generation consoles,” which can only refer to an Xbox 720/Durango version of the game.
Unless Nintendo has got a secret next-next-generation console in the works.
Ubisoft is also putting your spy skills to the test with the latest Watch Dogs trailer, which is posted above. Somewhere in that cinematic thrill ride is supposed to be some new “gameplay” footage. Can you find it? Because I can’t.
European retailers list Call of Duty: Ghosts for November release
Last year, Activision pulled back the curtain on Call of Duty: Black Ops II on May 1. If a similar plan is in place for this Fall’s Call of Duty 10, that means we’re less than 48 hours away from an announcement.
But a group of European retailers may have jumped the gun a might early.
Over the weekend, a number of retailers posted (and then subsequently pulled) pages for something known as Call of Duty: Ghosts. According to the retailer postings, the game will be developed by Infinity Ward and it’s in development for the PC, PS3, Wii U, and Xbox 360. It is also expected to launch on November 11, but that’s not much of a surprise as the Call of Duty franchise has owned the second week of November for years now.
A product description at Tesco revealed that Call of Duty: Ghosts may be using a brand-new engine and breaking away from the Modern Warfare storyline:
The franchise that has defined a generation of gaming is set to raise the bar once again with the all-new Call of Duty: Ghosts. Scribblenauts: DC Superheroes rumored to be in development at 5th Cell
IGN is reporting that Sribblenauts Unlimited developer 5th Cell is hard at work on the next game in the series, a Scribblenauts game set in the DC Comics Universe!
According to their tipster, the game is currently being developed under the working title “Scribblenauts Unmasked” for the 3DS, PC, and Wii U. IGN’s source states that publisher WB Games wants to announce it at this year’s E3 Expo, but “the title, content, and main character may change before it is announced.” Of course, since no one knew Scribblenauts Unmasked even existed until a day or so ago, making changes to what is more or less a prototype shouldn’t raise any alarm bells (or Bat Signals).
The tipster described a few of the puzzles, which give off a Scribblenauts feel while still clearly taking place in the DC Universe:
One source describes a linear level beginning in the sewers beneath Wayne Manor where a hungry Killer Croc won’t let Max proceed. When a hamburger isn’t enough, a dynamite sandwich sends Croc into a rage leading to his arrest. Robin keeps the situation under control, allowing Max to make his way inside Wayne Manor (where Batman has been manipulated by The Joker) before discovering Batgirl’s capture in the Batcave.
In another situation, Max encounters two police officers, and must decipher which one is legit and which is actually Clayface. An X-ray exposes the villain, and when handcuffs fail to stop the sludge-monster, a freeze-gun does the trick.
If Scribblenauts Unmasked is for real, now we really can ask, “Where does he get all those wonderful toys?”
Lobo trounces an unprepared Batman in this Injusice DLC trailer
NetherRealm previously announced that Lobo, “The Main Man,” would be making an appearance in Injustice: Gods Among Us as the first downloadable character. Today, they’ve unveiled the first footage of the intergalactic bounty hunter in the game… and he’s putting a beatdown on Batman! Stick around for his finisher, it’s worth it.
Lobo runs Batman down with his hovercycle, blasts him in the face with exhaust, and then flips him a pixelated middle finger! You gotta love Lobo.
Lobo will be available to download on May 7.
