Breach out on Xbox Live Arcade today
At PAX East last year, there was a game so ill, so hot that the young fellow pictured to the left just had to steal it. Apparently, he just plugged his laptop into Atomic Games’ machine, and when the developers came over to ask what he was doing he replied “stealing your game.” What could possibly be in a game that is so mind-blowing to induce a young man to go to any depth to get it? You’ll get a chance to find out today as Breach, Atomic Games’ latest military shooter, arrives on XBLA and PC today. Using the engine built for the controversial Six Days in Fallujah, the game will run you 1200 Microsoft Points ($15) or a suggested retail price of $19.99 or less on PC.
MotoGP 10/11 launching 3/15, PSN demo coming in February
Capcom announced today the official release date for its motorcycle racing game MotoGP 10/11, and the game will be on store shelves March 15, 2011. This entry boasts completely new racing simulation physics, hoping to make this the most realistic entry in the series to date. Players will be able to take on the persona of GP heroes Danny Pedrosa or Andrea Davizioso on the Mugello circuit or try to best their own records in Time Trial. New player assist features allow users to customize their bikes and control setups. A PSN demo will be coming in February, but no firm date was given.

Mad Catz returning to Gears of War accessory line
Before Gears of War became the sensation it is today, our favorite third party accessory manufacturer Mad Catz teamed up with Epic Games to release a series of faceplates, controller skins, and other goodies to celebrate its launch. This partnership continued on with Gears of War 2 and today Mad Catz announced a similar deal for the third game in the franchise, Gears of War 3. Due out this fall, the game will launch with a line of specially branded controllers (not just skins), headphones and other peripherals to celebrate the game. Darren Richardson of Mad Catz said: “Our Gears of War agreement is consistent with our strategies to align Mad Catz with the industry’s most popular and anticipated game titles and to develop and globally distribute high-value products that enhance the gaming experience. Gears of War is a marquee relationship for Mad Catz and helps us further grow and diversify our industry-leading portfolio of branded videogame accessories.”
Mad Catz has previously partnered with Activision to deliver a set of Call of Duty accessories which have been pretty decent. Here’s hoping they rock it with Gears 3 as well.
Note: Mad Catz has not, unfortunately, announced shooters or tumblers as pictured above as accessories, but it would be awesome if they did.

Want to get some action? Check out Platinum Games’ latest!
Platinum Games, the company behind last year’s sleeper hit Bayonetta and the incredibly fun, over-the-top Vanquish are working on a new game. Platinum’s Max Anarchy will be published by Sega. The game does not yet have a street date, but is described to be “Massively Multiplayer Melee Fighting Action Fighting,” supposedly worlds different than MMO Shooters (like Resistance 2) or MMORPGs (like World of Warcraft).
One can guess that the Max Anarchy fighting style may end up similar to Nintendo’s Smash Bros. series, only in the sense that it sounds to be a “beat-’em-up” style game. The game hasn’t been reported as a 2D fighting game, so obviously massively online play will not be limiting.
Adriasang had this to add about the Famitsu report: “The magazine has just one gameplay screenshot. This shows a character raising a foe up with a chain saw as another foe, this one hooded and wearing a hockey mask, approaches with what looks like a torch as a weapon.”
In addition to these two vague descriptions, it has been confirmed that Jack from Sega’s Wii game MadWorld will also be a playable character, though in Max Anarchy, he will be shown in full color rather than MadWorld’s black and white atmospheric limitations.

Knights Contract goes gold, coming 2/22/11
Announced back in May, Namco Bandai’s take on medieval Europe, Knights Contract, is finished and will be releasing on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on February 22nd. This action-adventure title takes place in an alternate 17th century, focusing on Heinrich, an immortal executioner, and Gretchen, a witch he killed who now has him under contract to defeat the maniacal Dr. Faust (awesome reference), the one who ordered her death. Players will need to utilize Heinrich’s scythe and Gretchen’s magic simultaneously to overcome their enemies and restore order to the land. I personally don’t know much about the game, but the art style looks fantastic and if the gameplay realizes its potential, it could be a nice little hit for Namco.

Final Fantasy XIII-2, Versus XIII, Type-0 detailed in Dengeki
Andriasang has dug deep into the latest issue of Japanese gaming Dengeki PlayStation and unearthed a ton of new details about most of the titles Square Enix had on display at their 1st Production Department Premier event last week.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 will take place after the end of Final Fantasy XIII in Gran Pulse. According to the magazine, the sequel will be “more dark and mysterious” and will focus on the goddess Etro.
Final Fantasy Type-0, the PSP game formerly known as Agito XIII, will feature a heavy focus on magic. The Dengeki report reveals that the game’s theme revolves around the theme of “Magic in Action” which basically states that swords and axes are good in a pinch, but magic is your real weapon.
Finally, Final Fantasy Versus XIII got short shrift once again. Director Tetsuya Nomura revealed that Versus XIII won’t be released until after XIII-2 and Type-0, but he did say we might learn more about it at E3.
For the full info dump on all three titles, be sure to check out the Andriasang report.
