DJ Khaled, DJ Premier, and DJ Mustard hand-picked the 50-song NBA 2K16 soundtrack

The NBA 2K franchise is well known for its expansive soundtracks, and this Fall’s NBA 2K16 will be no exception. Sporting the largest soundtrack ever included in the series, 2K Games has recruited famed producers DJ Khaled, DJ Premier, and DJ Mustard to curate a 50-song soundtrack for the game. Split into five distinct playlists, each artist also created two tracks that’ll be available only in the game.
You can listen to the entire playlist (minus the exclusive tracks) on Spotify right now, or you can find all 50 songs after the break.
NBA 2K16 will be released for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on September 29 (more…)
Microsoft has enlisted singing puppets to persuade you to pre-order Rare Replay
Microsoft and Rare would really like you to pre-order Rare Replay. In fact, they’re so committed to parting Xbox One owners with their $30 that they’ve commissioned this all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza starring paper puppets from Rare’s glory years. They’re all here… Zitz, Pimple, and Rash from Battletoads, The Great Mighty Poo from Conker’s Bad Fur Day, Joanna Dark from Perfect Dark, Fulgore from Killer Instinct, and many many more. I’m not usually one for pre-ordering games, and I can’t quite understand the lyrics, but the puppets are pretty awesome.
Rare Replay will be available exclusively for the Xbox One on August 4. It’ll include 30 classics from throughout Rare’s history, a Challenge Mode, 10,000 Gamerscore, and exclusive bonus features. Players will even be able to import saved progress and Achievements from the Xbox 360 titles that are included in the collection.
If that doesn’t sell you on Rare Replay, how about an encore performance from The Great Mighty Poo. A part of me still can’t believe Rare got away with that boss battle on the Nintendo 64…

Xbox Store Today: The Binding of Isaac Rebirth, Q.U.B.E. Director’s Cut

We’ve got two new additions to the Xbox Games Store today, both for the Xbox One.
First up is The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, which publisher Nicalis describes as “a randomly generated action RPG shooter with heavy Rogue-like elements.” I guess the basement of monstrous demons that Isaac has to battle against was just too mundane to mention.
Also available this week is Q.U.B.E.: Director’s Cut ($9.99), a first-person puzzler where players manipulate the world around them to destroy a spaceship before it collides with Earth.
More information on both of these games can be found after the break. (more…)

Check out 45 minutes of gameplay from Mega Man Legacy Collection right here
Do you love the Mega Man franchise? And do you have 45 minutes to spare? If you answered yes to both of these questions, I think you should check out the Mega Man Legacy Collection video embedded above.
Hosted by Greg “GregaMan” Moore and Brett “Minish Capcom” Elston of the Capcom-Unity blog, the video dives deep into the compilation and explores the brand new Challenge Mode, as well the Museum Mode, which includes a very extensive collection of Mega Man arcana.
The Mega Man Legacy Collection will be available for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One this Summer. A 3DS version will follow this Fall.
Doom Beta coming in 2016 but a lucky few will be invited to participate in this Fall’s Alpha

QuakeCon is the place to be this weekend. But don’t worry if you couldn’t make it down to Dallas, Bethesda is using their annual game convention to deliver some news on all their upcoming releases.
Bad news for Doom fans who were hoping to get their hands on the Multiplayer Beta before the end of the year, Bethesda has confirmed it’ll take place in 2016. However, they will also be holding a special Alpha Test later this Fall… and you may already be invited.
According to the Bethesda Blog, participants for the Alpha Test will be randomly selected from the list of players who have already registered their Doom Beta code. If you recall, everyone who pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order before its release last year received a Beta invite. If you haven’t already done so, make sure you visit Wolfenstein.com/doom and redeem the Beta code included in the box to gain a chance at entering the Alpha.
Doom will be released for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One next Spring. Hopefully, we’ll get another look at the game during this weekend’s QuakeCon.

Rise of the Tomb Raider Release Dates… Xbox One/360: Nov 10, PC: Q1 2016, PS4: Late 2016

Are you ready to raid some tombs this Fall? Square Enix has announced that Lara Croft’s next adventure, Rise of the Tomb Raider, will be released for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 10.
Microsoft signed the game to limited exclusivity contract a few years ago, so PC and PS4 owners will have to wait a bit before delving back into Lara’s adventures. However, rather than keep the public in suspense, Square Enix went and announced tentative release windows for the game on both platforms. Rise of the Tomb Raider will be available for the PC in early 2016, while PS4 owners will get a chance to play it in late 2016.
So which tomb will Lara raid this time? Well…
In the critically acclaimed Tomb Raider, Lara Croft survived a harrowing experience only to be discredited as part of a cover up. Now, after uncovering an ancient mystery, Lara must explore the most treacherous and remote regions of Siberia to find the secret of immortality before a ruthless organization known as Trinity. Lara must use her wits and survival skills, form new alliances, and ultimately embrace her destiny as the Tomb Raider.
It’s silly, but a part of me loves that developer Crystal Dynamics treats “the Tomb Raider” as some kind of honorific title.
Life Is Strange’s fourth episode, Dark Room, will be available next week
The end of the world is getting ever closer as Dontnod’s episodic series, Life Is Strange, races to its conclusion. More than a million copies of the game have been sold to date and the fourth episode, Dark Room, will be available to download next week. This time around, things are not looking good for Max and Chloe and the rest of Arcadia Bay:
Max realizes that changing the past can lead to painful consequences and that time is not a great healer. Her investigation into the disappearance of Rachel Amber begins to reach a thrilling conclusion as she finds the Dark Room. Will the answers lie within? Or will there just be trouble?
It sounds bad, but this description doesn’t even scratch the surface of the crazy present in this trailer. Max is definitely in trouble after she discovers the creepy serial killer shack, witnesses a few swirling death clouds, and gazes across a breach littered with dozens of dead whales. The apocalypse that’s about to befall Arcadia is not screwing around.
Life Is Strange: Dark Room will be available for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on July 28.
