Sony makes its Move on the Fall with LBP2 Move Pack, InFamous 2 Festival of Blood, more

Sony has big plans for the PlayStation Move this Autumn.

Leading things off on September 13 (which was actually a few days ago) is “LittleBigPlanet’s biggest Downloadable Content pack to date,” LittleBigPlanet 2 Move Pack: Rise of the Cakeling. Rise of the Cakeling adds five new story levels, seven side levels and gives gamers the ability to paint their own stickers and create their own Move-powered games. According to Sony, the Move Pack for LBP2 will “vastly broaden your creative palette.”

If you’d prefer to paint the town with blood, the standalone InFamous: Festival of Blood will be available to download on October 25 alongside a game update that adds Move support to InFamous 2.

Rounding out the rest of the Move-a-palooze is Everybody Dance on October 18 and the trio of Carnival Island, EyePet & Friends and Medieval Moves: Deadmund’s Quest on November 15.

You can move forward with more information on all of these Move titles after the break.

For Learning! Snag a free copy of Portal until September 20

Valve has seemingly perfected the “demented schoolteacher” genre with the two Portal games. Encouraging players to look at science and puzzle-solving in new ways, they’ve become more than just games. And now, Valve has taking that a step further with their new Learn With Portals site.

Designed as an educational destination for teachers and students, Learn With Portals wants to make “physics, math, logic, spatial reasoning, probability, and problem-solving interesting” cool. Step one in this coolification of learning: give away a free download of Portal from now until September 20.

So teleport yourself over to Learn With Portals and download your free copy today. For Science. For Learning. For Fun.

First Army Corps of Hell trailer, complete with pig squeals

Square Enix’s upcoming Vita game, Army Corps of Hell, seems to be an unholy marriage of Pikmin and countless dark forces from the deepest parts of the underworld. In the game’s Tokyo Game Show trailer, we are treated with some gameplay, music by a Japanese metal band called United, and more than a few instances of censored objects onscreen.

Prepare your senses and click up top to view the trailer. No release date has been given yet, but I’m willing to bet that the pre-order bonus will be a sacrificial goat.

Daily Scoop: September 15, 2011 – My poker face

It’s a weird and rainy Thursday here in Philadelphia, and I’ve got Lady Gaga in my head. It’s so close to the weekend I can practically taste it!

Anyway, Amazon’s Deal of the Day in video games today is Nintendo’s Samurai Warriors 3 for the Wii. It’s marked down to $16.99 from $49.99! That’s a lot of dollar signs. They’ve also got a Gold Box deal coming up: “Engaged in tension-filled battles against a new, ferocious enemy in the most dangerous and suspenseful action ever.” Wow! That couldn’t be more vague.

TeeFury‘s shirt today is based on Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along-Blog, and a portion of today’s sales even go to a charity to fight against lupus:
