Fantasy-styled shooter Amid Evil launches out of Early Access with a new trailer
After more than a year in Early Access, New Blood Interactive and Indefatigable are finally ready to launch Amid Evil, their fantasy-styled shooter that was partly inspired by classics of the genre like Heretic and Hexen.
To celebrate this milestone, the two companies have unveiled a new Launch Trailer highlighting the Champion’s throwback quest (“7 Worlds to Save, 7 Weapons to Wield, and 7 Evils to Vanquish”) and the game’s wildly trippy visuals.
Amid Evil is available to download now through Steam, GOG, and the Humble Store.
Amid Evil’s Early Access Launch Trailer brings back the look of fantasy-style shooters like Hexen and Heretic
Resurrecting the medieval style from early 90s fantasy shooters like Hexen and Heretic, Indefatigable’s Amid Evil is now available to download for the PC through Steam Early Access. The development team is probably celebrating with grog and mead right now, but they’ve also unveiled a new Launch Trailer for the game.
Brutal new footage released today introduces the endless mode gameplay, Hordes of Evil, which pits players against insane enemy AI. Hordes of Evil is included in the Early Access version of the game, which grants players three of the final seven campaign episodes. Each episode boasts different environments and enemies, as well as multitudes of in-game options and cheat codes.
The “Full Version” of Amid Evil is expected to be available sometime later this year.
Deathstate is coming to the Switch… Fantasy FPS Amid Evil will make its debut at this year’s PAX Aus
Tis the season for horror! But don’t expect the standard scares from Deathstate and Amid Evil… the developers of both games are promising that players will be able to experience a unique brand of “retro horror” when they’re released later this year.
