Warp Zoned’s 2014 Golden Pixel Awards: Honoring Our Favorite Games
![]()
With the PS4 and Xbox One entering their first full year on store shelves, 2014 turned out to be a bit of a transition year. A lot of games were delayed into 2015 and a few others were delayed even further. With the other two consolemakers taking a step back in 2014, it was Nintendo’s time to shine and the wizards behind the Wii U responded with nearly a dozen major titles. But that doesn’t mean the PS4 and the Xbox One (or the PS3 and Xbox 360, for that matter) went hungry in 2014.
There were plenty of great games to go around last year and you can read all about them as we hand out our annual Golden Pixel Awards… (more…)

InFamous: Second Son Review: New City, Same InFamous

The InFamous series, like many superhero simulations before it, is at its best when the player is made to feel like a 24-carat badass. InFamous: Second Son is possibly the epitome of this feeling. However, after experiencing that same feeling in the two (and a half) previous games in the series, alongside numerous other titles of their ilk, the effect is diminished. (more…)

InFamous: Second Son will be available on March 21
InFamous: Second Son should be the first PS4 game from Sony released in 2014 (unless DriveClub beats it to stores). But now, thanks to last night’s PS4 launch event, we know exactly when we’ll get to play it: March 21.
Be sure to check out the new trailer above, which highlights Delsin’s “Smoke” and “Neon” powers. It also includes a pretty decent cover of Nirvana’s “Heart Shaped Box” because, without it, how else would we know the gmae takes place in Seattle?

InFamous: Second Son set to be released in February 2014

February 2014 is starting to get crowded. Speaking to Polygon, a Sucker Punch spokesperson has revealed that InFamous: Second Son will be released for the PS4 sometime in the second month of 2014.
Second Son is the first game in the series to be released after the death of original protagonist Cole McGrath in InFamous 2. Sucker Punch has created a new main character, Delsin Rowe, to star in the sequel.

PS4 Trailer: InFamous: Second Son
Cole MacGrath’s story ended with InFamous 2, but Sucker Punch isn’t finished with their superhuman world yet. Promising “a new character, new city, new powers, and all designed especially for the new PlayStation 4,” InFamous: Second Son is sure to electrify the newly announced PS4:
Surrounded by a society that fears them, superhumans are ruthlessly hunted down and caged by the Department of Unified Protection. When Delsin Rowe discovers his powers he’s forced to run, searching for other superhumans in order to save those he loves from the oppressive D.U.P. now hot on his tail. The choices he makes along the way change the future of everyone around him.
