Virtua Tennis 4 serving retailers May 10
Sega announced that Virtua Tennis 4 will be available in the United States on May 10 for the Wii, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. The lucky Europeans who probably care about tennis a lot more than we do get the game a little early as an award on April 29. Adapting to the current trends on the HD platforms, Virtua Tennis 4 will be compatible with both PlayStation Move and Xbox 360 Kinect.

Ubisoft wouldn’t dare bring We Dare to America
Man, if the people at Fox News thought Bulletstorm and Mass Effect were bad, something like We Dare would probably send them into convulsions. Published by Ubisoft, We Dare is the latest party game for the Wii and Move-enabled PS3s. But instead of cartoonish recreations of sporting events or backyard games, We Dare is a minigame collection for couples. It’ll also only be available in Europe (on March 11) and Ubisoft has no plans to bring it to America.
As you can see from the trailer above, the minigames included in the title have a rather social bent to them. Players are encouraged to nearly kiss as they bob for apples (with a dangling Wii Remote standing in for the apple) while another game requires spanking your partner (with the Remote hooked into their waistband) to make their on-screen avatar fly faster. The climax of the trailer involves a pole dancing minigame that fades out just as the whole exercise appears to descend into the beginnings of a porno film.
I don’t know about you, but I have NO idea why Ubisoft thinks We Dare wouldn’t fly in America.
Whatcha gonna do when the complete WWE All-Stars roster runs wild on you?
IGN has completed their two part unveiling of the complete WWE All-Stars roster with an additional seven Legends, eight Superstars and six more DLC wrestlers. These 15 wrestlers join the 15 wrestlers announced last week to give the full roster a grand total of 30 fighters.
As with last week’s reveal, IGN uploaded new screenshots and video of each wrestler, giving us a very in-depth look at the game.
So we know who made the final cut and we know that The Big Bossman, Chris Jericho, Jerry “The King” Lawler, Michael Hayes, Mark Henry and R-Truth will be added to WWE All-Stars at a future date through a DLC expansion pack. We also know that Howard Finkel and Paul Bearer will be included in the game as “non-wrestling talent.”
So with all out of the way, jump off the top rope for a look at the second half of the WWE All-Stars roster. (more…)
Robot Entertainment announces first original game, declares ‘Orcs Must Die!’
Many of you may recognize Robot Entertainment as formerly Ensemble Studios, creators of Halo Wars and the legendary RTS series Age of Empires. They’re still supporting those titles, but today have announced their first new IP, Orcs Must Die! As you may have guessed from the title, this game invites you to slaughter as many of the green fiends as you can. The game combines elements of tower defense and action games, as you set traps to wipe out oncoming waves, or jump into the action yourself.
“Robot exists to make great games that our fans love. Orcs Must Die! is our first original title, and we’re counting on players to do what must be done: drive the orcs into oblivion!” demanded Robot CEO Patrick Hudson.
Orcs Must Die! will be showcased at PAX East in Boston from March 11 to 13, so expect more information here on Warp Zoned. The game is scheduled for a summer downloadable release on PC and consoles.

Radical Entertainment draws on Penny Arcade for new Prototype 2 teaser
Fans of Penny Arcade may remember this comic where Gabe gave some nice consumer advice on whether to buy the original Prototype. Recognizing the logic of the strip, Radical Entertainment has incorporated it into a special teaser expounding on the complementary nature of karate kicks and helicopters. The short trailer was created to promote the game’s appearance on the cover of the April 2011 issue of EGM.
Unfortunately, we have about a year to go before we can get in on the helicopter-kicking action with Prototype 2 sometime in 2012.

F.3.A.R.’s Paxton Fettel playable in single player
There’s already so much awesome going on with F.3.A.R. that I’m groaning over the delay from March to May. Now there’s even more to look forward to, as Warner Bros. has announced that Paxton Fettel will be playable in the single player as well as through co-op. The original plan was that he would be playable only with his brother, Point Man, opening up new avenues for both characters with his supernatural abilities. But now, after finishing a chapter as Point Man, you can go back and play it solo as Fettel.
I’ve had the chance to play this game twice already, and it’s absolutely awesome. Playing as Fettel is a completely brand new experience, as you can inhabit the bodies of your enemies to mow down other foes and even wreak more havoc than ever before from mechs. It looks like they’ve made him a bit more formidable as well – previously he depended more on his brother for the more powerful attacks, but now he seems to be kicking ass all on his own. Hit the jump for a killer video. (more…)
NASCAR The Game 2011 captures Daytona 500
“As a kid growing up, this is what you dream of, of being able to win the Daytona 500.” – Jamie McMurray
This quote from the defending champion sets off a new trailer for NASCAR 2011: The Game, giving a players an idea of what to expect when they partake in the most prestigious race in American motorsport. The video displays the Daytona 500 during different times of day and the intense action in cockpit view, which really seems to portray the sense of speed and danger the entrants experience. I’ve gotten into it a lot lately with Gran Turismo 5, but it looks like this might be the definitive simulation of the second most popular sport on television.

WWE All-Stars roster rumbles onto the web
Well, half of it anyway.
IGN has managed to wrestle the full roster to the upcoming WWE All-Stars away from THQ and they plan on publishing it in two parts. Part one appeared today, revealing eight legends, seven present-day superstars and five fighters that’ll only be available as downloadable content. IGN also revealed that Larry “The King” Lawler and Jim Ross will be providing the color commentary.
Screenshots and video of each wrestler were also included, giving us our most in-depth look at WWE All-Stars yet.
So, let me ring the bell and reveal (after the break) the first 15 wrestlers in WWE All-Stars… (more…)
