Stardew Valley Coming Soon to Nintendo Switch [Official Website]

Developer ConcernedApe has announced that Stardew Valley will soon be available for the Nintendo Switch. And by soon, they mean this Thursday, October 5:

Stardew Valley will come to the Nintendo Switch on October 5th, 2017

I’m very happy to see Stardew come to a Nintendo console… I grew up on Nintendo, after all! This will not only be the first time Stardew Valley appears on a Nintendo platform, but also the first time Stardew will be on a portable system.

The Switch version will be priced at $14.99 USD.

Development Update – September 2017 [Kickstarter]

Casual Bit Games isn’t just using Super Ghouls ‘N Ghosts as its primary inspiration for Battle Princess Madelyn… they also want to recreate the ad campaign that Capcom employed in the early 90s for their side-scrolling platformer:

The initial idea for the trailer was to pay homage to the early 90s Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts TV spot. The idea was B&W footage from silent films, interspersed with gameplay and text elements.

After seeing a silent film that our good friends Locomalito and Gryzor87 had shared on Twitter – I knew that needed to be part of it. Josh selected the clips and stuck them together flawlessly to get a nice old school silent look film for the trailer, blending in bits of the early intro animation and gameplay. It just so happened in that silent movie that a young lady was going to fight the underworld and transform into a knight!

Battle Princess Madelyn will be released for the PC, PS4, Switch, Vita, Wii U, and Xbox One sometime in 2018.
