Itagaki’s Devil’s Third is now a Wii U exclusive
Um, what?
Tomonobu Itagaki, the Director of Ninja Gaiden and the former guiding force behind Team Ninja, has revealed that his next game, Devil’s Third, will be available exclusively for the Wii U. Speaking to IGN, Itagaki said: “[Nintendo] really understood my vision, so I felt I really had to work with them.”
Devil’s Third has been in development at Itagaki’s Valhalla Studios since 2009. THQ was originally attached as publisher, but after their bankruptcy the action title was left in limbo. Nintendo swooping in to save it is surprising, to say the least, but they did they same thing with Bayonetta 2, which is a similarly styled sword-and-shooting game.
Devil’s Third will be released sometime this year.
