Daily Scoop: November 18, 2013 – My sweet Puppycat
Hello, everyone – it’s Nicole, returned to bring you a Daily Scoop. I was out of town for a few days, and when I came back, I had to take my beloved Puppycat to the animal hospital. Long story short, it was a harrowing few days of testing with no answers in sight. We brought him home Thursday because they said he was doing better, and sadly, he passed away on Friday morning. Let’s take a moment to remember the sweetness that was the Puppycat.
*silence*
So, go hug your pet and then read the rest of this, OK?
I got my brand new PlayStation 4 delivered, but I wasn’t in the office, so I’ll be bringing it home today. So far, all I’ve picked up is Killzone: Shadow Fall, though I am really looking forward to inFAMOUS Second Son. So many great games…
I’m also excited about the new Humble Store. It runs much like a Steam sale, in that it’s a different set of games on sale every day. It’s awesome, but again… so many games, so little time.
As always, I’ve got some shirts you might like… (more…)

Pay the minimum of $1.99 for Us & Them – Cold War, Storm Over The Pacific, AI War: Fleet Command, Creeper World, Strategic War in Europe, The Trouble With Robots, and Age of Conquest III. Pay more than the average to unlock Mayhem Intergalactic, Project Aftermath, Fall Weiss, and Creeper World 2! And there are lots of extras no matter what you pay. So go scoop it up!

Daily Scoop: November 6, 2013 – Books on games
So tonight is the end of our Encounters season, which means it’s time for the big fight! I’m pretty excited to see how all the tables deal with the storm that’s about to hit them. It’s been a great season!
There are a few great video game books that are on sale right now at Amazon. You can pre-order The Legend of Zelda Box Set: Prima Official Game Guide at 40% off, grab the hard cover Pokemon X & Pokemon Y: The Official Kalos Region Guidebook: The Official Pokemon Strategy Guide for 40% off, or snag the Grand Theft Auto V Limited Edition Strategy Guide for 38% off. I also highly recommend Minecraft: The Unlikely Tale of Markus “Notch” Persson and the Game that Changed Everything, which is currently 39% off.
Oh, and don’t forget to snag the Humble WB Bundle! Pay what you want for Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY, F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin, F.E.A.R. 3, and Lords of the Rings: War in the North. Pay more than the average to unlock Scribblenauts Unlimited and Batman: Arkham City GOTY. The F.E.A.R. series is one of my favorites, so I can’t recommend getting this bundle enough.

Daily Scoop: November 5, 2013 – Kigurumi edition
It’s freezing outside, so I’ve been putting a lot of serious thought into getting myself a kigurumi, which is a Japanese pajama/cosplay type outfit. There are some really amazing ones out there, though I couldn’t find too many that fit the video game theme, other than Pikachu, of course!
But then I stumbled upon one that was a Portal turret, and I was instantly smitten. Looks like I know what I’m wearing to my next convention! And around the house. And maybe just, you know, all the time. Or, come to think of it, Anthony could wear that, and I could be Chell. You know, I’m starting to like this idea…
There aren’t really any great deals going on right now. In fact, everyone is having little tiny deals left and right, and teasing about their Black Friday sales. I’m so glad I don’t leave the house the day after Thanksgiving! I mean, other than to go somewhere and play Dungeons & Dragons, that is.
Anyway, let’s get serious and talk about t-shirts! (more…)

Daily Scoop: November 4, 2013 – When did it get to be November???
Holy disappearing year, y’all! Where did 2013 go??? It felt like it flew by in a crazy haze of video games, good and bad. Not that I’m complaining…!
The best deal going on right now is the Game Music Bundle, which I’ve mentioned before. It’s only got another day left, so go grab it while it’s still there!
Also, this is a terrific time to stock up on consoles and peripherals from this (now old) generation. There are lots of Dualshock 3s on sale right now on Amazon. Maybe it’s time I finally picked up that awesome gold one?
Looking for awesome t-shirts? Of course you are!

A new Crossed Purposes podcast is up, featuring Warp Zoned’s Nicole Kline
Last week, I was on yet another episode of No Avatars Allowed over at Crossed Purposes! I spend another evening with Joshua Wise and Ian Riley, this time just talking about all the video games we’ve been playing. Seriously, we played a lot of video games. You can get a sneak peak of what I think about Beyond: Two Souls, and hear me talk some more about Pokemon X, though Josh and Ian were NOT having it.
Check out the episode here!

Daily Scoop: October 30, 2013 – Media overload
There are a ridiculous number of things that just hit the street. There’s Assassin’s Creed IV, Battlefield 4, and, of course, the Pusheen book, I Am Pusheen the Cat. That’s more awesome than any human being could handle!
There are some good deals happening over at Amazon right now. The best physical game deal is $16.99 for Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition on the Wii U. There are plenty of great digital deals, too, like The Cave for $3.69, Dead Island Game of the Year Edition for $4.99, Max Payne 3 + Season Pass for $9.99, and the Walking Dead Pack for $7.49. That last one is just in time for the announcement of season two!
As always, here’s a few great t-shirts for you! (more…)

Daily Scoop: October 29, 2013 – Cipher Prime Edition
Well, it’s been a really busy few days for me, with work, and school, and video games. But I wanted to share something really special with all of you: I love Pokemon.
No, but seriously! I mean, I do seriously love Pokemon. But the great news I want to share with you is that Cipher Prime is featured in this week’s amazing Humble Weekly Bundle. Pay what you want for their incredible games Splice, Fractal, and my personal favorite, Pulse. Pay more than $6 to get Auditorium and their ridiculously fun brand-new game, Intake! This is the debut of Intake and the only way to get it, so seriously, drop some money on them. You also get all five soundtracks, which is absurd. Seriously! Give them all of your money, like right now.
And I have a sneaking suspicion that the top contributor, Aaron’s secret admirer, is really just Aaron.
And what Scoop would be complete without t-shirts? (more…)
