Daily Scoop: October 23, 2013 – PAX East badges
PAX East badges went on sale today, and the three-day badges sold out in under an hour. It was outrageous! Tons are on eBay already, unsurprisingly. The hotel site is still down, so I don’t know where I’m sleeping, but I’ve got my badges, so whatever. Are you also going to PAX East? Let us know in the comments! Maybe we can high five or something.
I found another neat video game bundle website – this one is called Bundle in a Box. I’m sad to say that their latest bundle, an indie RPG bundle, just ended! It included Unemployment Quest, The Siege of the Necromancer, Hack, Slash, Loot, Styrateg, Inaria, Dungeon Fray, Empires & Dungeons 2, and Frayed Knights. The minimum price was $1.99, but if you paid more than average, you got loads of extra goodies! It’s definitely worth keeping an eye on it for future bundles.
I’ve got a couple of neat shirts for you today! (more…)

Daily Scoop: October 22, 2013 – New Game Music Bundle
So, last night, I had every intention of working on as much homework as I possibly could so I could finally dig in to Beyond: Two Souls. Instead, I found a kitten and had an adorable adventure with her all night. The end. My boyfriend Anthony referred to it as “an elaborate excuse to not get your homework done,” which might be right. But seriously, could you resist that sweet face? And the purrs. The PURRS!
Anyway, I’ve got great news for all you video game music lovers out there! The Game Music Bundle has a brand new bundle right now, called the Game Music Bundle… of the Damned! For $1, you get five albums: Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, Limbo, Bloodrayne: Betrayal, and Dead Space. For $10, you get an additional nine soundtracks: Home, Year Walk, Penumbra, The Horror at MS Aurora, Organ Trail: Director’s Cut, Alice: Madness Returns, Plants vs. Zombies, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, and [Survaillant]. That’s a lot of amazing soundtracks for a super low price. Scoop ’em up!
Two more shirts for you today! (more…)

Daily Scoop: October 21, 2013 – Cheap Xbox 360s edition
Happy Monday, friendly readers! I know that Mondays are the lamest, but this video of kittens hugging should help. A lot.
First up, let’s talk about deals! Amazon’s having a huge sale on Xbox 360s right now, trying to clear out before the Xbox One comes out next month. All the consoles and bundles listed here are anywhere from $12 to $50 off, and each one comes with a $50 promotional credit. They’ve got a lot of great deals happening on their video game deals page as well, including Scribblenauts Unlimited on PC for $9.99.
On other news, there’s still time to get the awesome Humble Weekly Bundle featuring Hothead Games. Pay what you want for DeathSpank, DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue, and Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode One. Pay more than $6 and get The Baconing and On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode Two, as well as the soundtracks for DeathSpank and On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness. And don’t forget about the Humble Bundle with Android 7, which has Ticket to Ride, Greedcorp, Incredipede, and Anodyne. Pay more than the average to also get Worms Reloaded and The Bard’s Tale. Whew! That’s a lot of games.

Daily Scoop: October 17, 2013 – I’m back!
Hello there, friendly readers! I’ve been away for a few days – my good friends (and our former writers!) Ryan Littlefield and Brianne Galli came to Philadelphia to stay with us, and we had a blast! We played video games, ate junk food, and visited important landmarks. Then yesterday I was on a panel at the Grassroots Game Conference. It was amazing! But now I’m back, and ready to bring you some great deals and shirts, as always.
First up: deals! There’s a brand new Humble Bundle right now – the Humble Bundle with Android 7. Pay what you want for Ticket to Ride, Greed Corp, Incredipede, and Anodyne; pay more than the average to get Worms Reloaded and The Bard’s Tale. The soundtracks are included as well!
There are some great deals happening over at Amazon right now. The console version of Diablo III is $10 off right now. This blows the PC version out of the water and is definitely worth the money! Another personal favorite, Sleeping Dogs, is just $18.99 right now. And while I haven’t played it yet, $29.99 seems like a great price for Metro Last Light (it’s only $19.99 on PC).
And now, for the moment you’ve been waiting for: t-shirts! There are only two, but they’re both good ones… (more…)

Daily Scoop: October 11, 2013 – It’s raining, it’s pouring
Wow, it’s absolutely pouring today! Yet another perfect day for staying inside, having some tea or soup, and playing video games. It’s actually a perfect day for a new Pokemon game… but that will just have to wait for tomorrow! I’m so excited!
To keep my mind off of it, I’ll bring you a great deal for today – it’s Retro City Rampage for $3.65! But hurry, the sale won’t last long.
Oh, and you can get the BioShock Infinite board game at ThinkGeek now, so if you were looking for a way to rack up more Geek Points, look no further!
Other than that, all I’ve got are more t-shirts! (more…)

Daily Scoop: October 9, 2013 – Happy humpday!
Yay, it’s Wednesday! We made it to the official halfway point to the weekend. And what’s even better is that this weekend has three whole days in it! I’m too excited. I’ve also got some friends visiting in from New York – Ryan Littlefield and Brianne Galli in the flesh! So I’m even more excited than ever… to play Pokemon with them.
Also, tonight is Dungeons and Dragons Encounters at Redcap’s Corner! Things are really heating up in Baldur’s Gate, and I’m not sure what’s going to happen at the end. My party has been pretty rad, so I’m hoping they can put an end to the madness.
Anyway, let’s talk about video games! The only good deal I found today was Tomb Raider for $19.99 at Amazon. People keep telling me I need to play this game, so maybe now is a good time to pick it up!
Other than that, I’ve got t-shirts… always t-shirts! (more…)
