Killer Instinct Ultra Edition owners can now download Hisako
Iron Galaxy has announced that Hisako, Killer Instinct‘s “ghost girl,” is now available to download for players who own the Season 2 Ultra Edition. Combo Breaker Pack players will have to wait until Thursday, April 2.
The character is heavily based on Japanese horror heavies such as The Ring‘s Samara, so if you’ve ever wanted to watch a ghost fight a dinosaur (Riptor), a cyborg (Fulgore), or a walking skeleton (Spinal), you can in the trailer embedded above.
And be sure to watch all the way to the end to get your first look at Killer Instinct’s next character, Cinder.

Liu Kang and Kung Lao are zombies in this new Mortal Kombat X trailer
The latest trailer for Mortal Kombat X, which was produced in conjunction with Maxim Russia for some reason, gives us our first look at Liu Kang in action… and he’s a zombie under the thrall of Shinnok! Oh no! Kung Lao is also a member of the walking undead after his resurrection by dark magic. Newcomer Kung Jin, Kung Lao’s descendant, is also featured in this “Shaolin Style” trailer.
I guess now we know how all those previously-dead kombatants will be able to take part in Mortal Kombat X. Though Kung Lao did look to be in complete control of his faculties in his debut trailer, so perhaps they get better.
Mortal Kombat X will be released for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on April 14. The title will also be available for the PS3 and Xbox 360 this Summer.
UPDATE: An English-language version of the trailer has now been posted on the Mortal Kombat Community YouTube Channel.
F1 2015 will be released for PC, PS4, Xbox One in June

Codemasters announced today they’re bringing their Formula One racing series to the PC, PS4, and Xbox One this June with the release of F1 2015. Distributed by Bandai Namco, the game will set a new bar for realism in Formula One games.
F1 2015 will include “a significant step forward” in the physics-based handling model, which has been designed with new players and veterans in mind. This new model will offer improvements to all parts of the car including “engine and transmission, aerodynamics, fuel tank, force feedback, suspension, and a brand new tire physics model.” A new “broadcast presentation” graphical style will also aid in the game’s attempt at realism and a voice recognition option on both the PS4 and Xbox One will get you talking to your race engineers. Finally, the game will make all of these features come to life through the use of a brand new version of Codemasters’ popular EGO game engine.
Players will get the chance to compete in two FIA Formula One World Championship seasons in F1 2015 including the current 2015 season and the 2014 season (which is being called “bonus game content” right now, so it may be available as DLC).
RBI Baseball 15 will be released for PS4, Xbox One on March 31

Polygon is reporting that MLB Advanced Media’s RBI Baseball 15 will be released for the PS4 and Xbox One on March 31. That means the retro-styled sports game will be going head-to-head with Sony’s MLB 15: The Show, which will also launch on the last day of this month.
Last year’s game, RBI Baseball 14, was a stripped-down sports game that kept things simple. A little too simple, we thought at the time. While still not a modern simulation, RBI 15 will add in several features absent from RBI 14 including full team rosters, stat tracking, and online multiplayer.
RBI Baseball 15 is also in development for the PC and mobile platforms, but MLB Advanced Media wasn’t ready to reveal a release date for those versions just yet.
SteamWorld Dig will shovel its way to the Xbox One in May

Image & Form’s SteamWorld Dig will complete its current-generation rounds with a stop on the Xbox One this May. The well-received platformer originally debuted on the 3DS in 2013 (Warp Zoned’s Mike Ryan was quite the fan) before expanding out to the PC, PS4, Vita, and Wii U in 2014.
For SteamWorld Dig’s Xbox One launch, the developer plans to add an “elaborate” Easter Egg to the game that references “a gaming thing.” Aside from that, only slight tweaks will differentiate the Xbox One port from the game’s previous versions.
A specific release date will be announced at a later date, but for now, Image & Form is saying we should expect to see SteamWorld Dig on the Xbox One in “late” May.

Xbox Store Today: Borderlands Collection, Life Is Strange Ep2, Game of Thrones Ep3, more

The Xbox Games Store grew by a few titles today as new Xbox One and Xbox 360 games are now available to download.
On the Xbox One, Gearbox’s Borderlands: The Handsome Collection compiles Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel into a single current-generation package. In addition to enhanced graphics and every piece of downloadable content for both games, the Handsome Collection also includes a brand new four-player couch co-op mode.
The Internet’s favorite boogeyman, Slenderman, will also make his Xbox One debut today as the survival horror title Slender: The Arrival is now available to download.
Finally, two episodic games will receive new entries this week as Telltale’s Game of Thrones: The Sword in the Darkness (Episode 3 of 6) and Dontnod’s Life Is Strange: Out of Time (Episode 2 of 5) are now available on the Xbox One and Xbox 360.
More information on all of these titles can be found after the break. And an overview of this week’s Xbox Live “Deals With Gold” can be found at Major Nelson’s blog. (more…)
Rosetta Stone Discover Languages app now available for Xbox One
Rosetta Stone has brought their popular language-learning system to the Xbox One with yesterday’s launch of the Rosetta Stone Discover Languages app. Available to download for free, the app is currently limited to English and Spanish, but hopefully more languages will be added in the future.
According to Rosetta Stone, the Discover Languages app will teach players using “immersive simulation,” with a heavy focus on vocabulary and grammar. To do this, the app will include a variety of activities:
You’ll explore several locations in the Discovery Zone and chat with the characters you find there. In the Training Zone, you’ll solidify the concepts you encountered with study recommendations, cultural tips, phrase books, and of course, more games! Keep track of your Achievements, and keep practicing until you get a perfect score.

Mortal Kombat X action figures, bobbleheads, plushes planned

Mortal Kombat X is about to get family-friendly as Mezco Toyz is now accepting pre-orders for plush dolls of Scorpion and Sub-Zero. The eternally-brawling pair will also be turned into bobbleheads, and action figures. The God of Thunder and Earthrealm’s protector, Raiden, will also get an action figure.
Both the bobbleheads ($16 each) and the plush dolls ($15) will be available in October. The action figures will be released in June as individual figures ($22 each) or in a three-pack ($66). You can begin throwing money at the screen to obtain any or all of these toys by visiting Mezco’s website.
I know my wallet suddenly feels a little bit lighter.
