Capcom announces major expansion to Dragon’s Dogma coming next year

Whether it’s pride in a new property doing well or Capcom being Capcom, the publisher has big plans for the future of Dragon’s Dogma. The company announced that two new game modes will be available to download by the end of the year: Hard Mode and Speedrun Mode. Best of all, both modes will be free.

Looking further ahead, Capcom announced that the first “major expansion” for the game will be released in 2013. Capcom is still keeping the details close to their chest (they wouldn’t even confirm if it’ll be DLC or a retail release), but they did reveal that it’ll be titled Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen. Injustice: Gods Among Us gets a new trailer and an April 2013 release date

Just in time for the Tokyo Game Show, Warner Bros. Games and developer NetherRealm Studios have released the latest trailer for Injustice: Gods Among Us.

This DC Comics-derived fighting game brings together Batman, Superman, Catwoman, Nightwing, Harley Quinn, and more in a cataclysmic fight to the death, much like NetherRealm’s last game, the rebooted Mortal Kombat.

Injustice: Gods Among Us will be released for the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U in April 2013, exactly two years after Mortal Kombat first graced store shelves.

Okami HD comes to PSN on October 30

Are you still waiting patiently for Okami HD to be added to the PlayStation Store. Well, your wait is almost over.

Yesterday, Capcom announced that the game will be available to download exclusively from the PSN on October 30. For just $19.99, players will get the PS2/Wii classic along with Trophy support, 1080p high definition graphics, and Move support.

Kickstart This! Horror Edition

In our third installment of Kickstart This! we’re preparing for Halloween a bit early. Many of these titles have a certain horror flavour to them, including Monsters, a 2D shooter with a story provided by our very own Nicole Kline. Other titles featured are grid-based tactical game Pangenic, psychological puzzle game Broken, romantic adventure Zombie Cruise, and Worlds Beyond, an RPG about the end of the world. And let’s not forget side-scrolling beat-em-up Crisis Heart Brawlers: Clash at Otakon. It has nothing to do with horror. It’s just awesome. And needs your money!

Square Enix bringing Kingdom Hearts HD Remix to PS3 in Japan

Square Enix just announced a Kingdom Hearts HD collection at this year’s Tokyo Game Show, but it’s not what you think. Titled Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix, the compilation will pull together HD versions of Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix (the only-in-Japan “Director’s Cut” of the first game) and the two “bridge” games that followed, Kingdom Hearts: Re:Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days.

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix will be released in 2013 exclusively for the PlayStation 3 and, right now, the game has only been announced for the Japanese market. Hopefully, Square Enix will realize that American PS3 players love HD remakes as well.

Complete Midway Arcade Origins game list revealed
