The Games of March 2018

Welcome to March, you’re cordially invited to a party for the Nintendo Switch’s first anniversary. While fans surely have plenty of backlogged Switch games to keep them busy, the consolemaker also has one new game on their schedule to mark this milestone. And if you’re a Switch owner, and you’re on the lookout for a new game, you might be interested in Kirby Star Allies.
Kirby’s adventures always feature a unique art style, and that’s something that’s very much in vogue with a few other games set to launch this month including The Behemoth’s Pit People and Level-5’s Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom. Elsewhere on the release calendar, after a short delay, it looks like Ubisoft is ready to delve deep into the heart of a doomsday cult in Far Cry 5.
Why is the Warp Zoned staff looking forward to these games? You can find out after the break, along with a complete release schedule for all of this month’s new releases. (more…)

Kirby’s Switch debut will be known as Kirby Star Allies
It looks like the rumors were true, and the newest Nintendo Direct presentation has just been unleashed upon the world. Though the video clocks in at just over 14 minutes, this “Nintendo Direct Mini” still features a treasure trove of new announcements for the Switch.
Nintendo first teased Kirby’s Switch debut during last year’s E3 Expo, but now we’ve learned that it’s a co-op side-scroller with tons of new Copy Abilities known as Kirby Star Allies:
Kirby’s debut on Nintendo Switch is a grand new adventure packed with content. The new Artist ability lets Kirby unleash his creativity, while the new Spider ability lets him ensnare enemies in webs. Kirby also can hurl new friend hearts at enemies to win them over with love and add them to his party. Plus, up to four friends can team up and combine Kirby’s unique abilities with ally abilities for powerful new Friend Abilities.
Kirby Star Allies will be released for the Switch on March 16.

Kirby will be released for the Nintendo Switch in 2018
Nintendo announced another Kirby game at this year’s E3 Expo… and this one will be available for the Switch sometime in 2018.
This new Kirby adventure is a side-scroller that gives the pink puffball a pocketful of hearts to recruit up to three enemy characters. These companions can be CPU-controlled, or a friend with an extra Joy-Con can jump in to lend a helping hand. Kirby and his new friends can also combine their powers to cut a team-powered path of destruction through the world. The first trailer for Kirby is been embedded above.
Kirby is going to be quite busy this year and next. Kirby’s Blowout Blast will be available to download through the 3DS eShop this Summer, and an untitled multiplayer game for the 3DS will launch this Fall.
