Mega Man 11, FIFA 19, Dragon Ball FighterZ, more coming to Nintendo eShop this week

The might Mega Man will return for the first time in a decade this Tuesday, October 2, with the launch of Mega Man 11. The Switch platformer will feature eight new Robot Masters, a brand new graphical style, and the never-before-seen Double Gear system.
Elsewhere on the Nintendo eShop, Switch owners will get the chance to slide into EA Sports’s latest soccer simulation, FIFA 19, this Friday. Also this Friday, Arc System Works will bring Dragon Ball FighterZ, their critically-acclaimed anime-inspired fighter, to the Switch.
But if you’re looking to download something today, Tencent’s Arena of Valor, a free-to-play MOBA, will make its Switch debut. Also today, Sega will kick off their Sega Ages series of re-releases today with Sonic the Hedgehog. And a trio of beloved indies will make the move to the Switch, including side-scrolling shooter Rise & Shine, roguelike Risk of Rain, and archery battler TowerFall.

Golden Pixel Awards 2013: What We Loved, What We Hated, and What We’ll Never Forget
![]()
2013 was an amazing year in gaming. While we got loads of sequels, we also got some beautiful new IPs, and plenty of new hardware to enjoy it all.
Naughty Dog took a break from Uncharted and gave us The Last of Us, BattleBlock Theater reminded us why we love The Behemoth, and Ken Levine and his crew unleashed BioShock: Infinite on the gaming world. And let’s not forget all the amazing ports, including Diablo III (on consoles), Fez (on the PC), and Hotline Miami (on the PS3 and Vita). Yes, this year took our breath away, and cramped our thumbs like the good old days of the NES. We here at Warp Zoned have been gaming our little fingers off the last 12 months, and we’ve been even harder at work the last few weeks trying to decide what we loved and hated about gaming in 2013. After several days of deliberation, here’s what we came up with. And now it’s time for us to get back to gaming… 2014 is ready for us. (more…)

The PAXpocalypse List: The Best of PAX Prime 2013

This year’s PAX Prime was one of the best gaming experiences I’ve ever had. And even with four days, I still didn’t get a chance to play everything – or even see everything. Lines were long, crowds were huge, and once I got started in on a good game, I wanted to play it as much as I could. We were originally only going to award ten games, but by Monday, we couldn’t narrow it down, so we ended up adding in two more. Here is the PAXpocalypse List for PAX Prime 2013 – the twelve games we’d love to be stranded with if this little convention in Seattle was the end of the world. And they’re in alphabetical order… because that’s how it’s done when you can’t pick favorites. (more…)

TowerFall has an awesome new trailer, releasing for Ouya on June 25
I’ve been playing TowerFall whenever I can wrestle a controller from the other maniacs playing it at Cipher Prime’s Dev Night in Philadelphia. This amazing multiplayer versus game of strategic archery pits you against up to three of your friends in a ridiculous battle of wits, tactics, and twitch reflexes. It’s a beautiful, happy throwback to games like Super Smash Bros., reminiscent of simpler days screaming at your friends on the couch. Screaming in glee, I mean.
Check out the trailer, and pick up this game as soon as you possibly can. Seriously. TowerFall is worth every single penny – in fact, whatever you pay for it, you’ve ripped Matt Thorson off. The game will be out for Ouya on June 25, with other platforms to be announced. If you needed a reason to get an Ouya, consider this the best one so far. Check out the website for more details.
