Xbox Store Today: The Sun and Moon, Subterrain, Doodle God Ultimate Edition

A minimalist platformer, an overhead survival shooter, and a divine puzzle game make up today’s additions to the Xbox Games Store.

The platforming action of The Sun and Moon, which first gained fame as the winning entry from Ludum Dare 29, is now available to download for the Xbox One. Developed by Digerati Distribution, players will attempt to complete the game’s minimalist levels by flinging themselves high into the air or burrowing deep beneath the surface.

Today’s second new Xbox One release, Subterrain, also delves deep into events that happen beneath the surface. Players will take control of Dr. West as he battles Martian mutants and gathers resources to survive within the bowels of the red planet in this overhead shooter.

Finally today, Xbox One owners will be able to download Doodle God: Ultimate Edition, a puzzle game where players combine elements to build their universe, that originally launched for mobile devices in 2010.

More information about all of these games can be found after the break.

Xbox One Games

The Sun and Moon
The Sun and Moon, the winner of Ludum Dare 29, is a platformer with a unique mechanic: you can dive into the ground. Momentum is conserved but gravity is reversed, letting you fling yourself high into the air or deep beneath the surface.

Subterrain
In Subterrain, you fill the shoes of Dr. West, the apparent lone survivor of MPO, an underground city on Mars. Do what you must to survive: battle enemies, fight hunger and thirst, mend your wounds, and gather resources in a constant struggle to survive the catastrophe that’s beset Mars! You may end up being your own worst enemy if you’re careless! Every decision you make is critical as the world does not wait for you.

Doodle God: Ultimate Edition
In this addictive, all ages, puzzle game mix and match different combinations of fire, earth, wind and air to create an entire universe! As you create each element watch your world come alive as each element animates on your planet. The new “Planet” mode offers a new challenging way to create a universe of your dreams. Of course the universe was not created in a day. You’ll have to work your up from a simple microorganism to create animals, tools, storms and even build armies before you have what it takes to build the universe! But beware, the power of creation may have unintended consequences, inventing the wheel might just trigger a zombie plague… Don’t worry, you are not alone on this cosmic journey.
