Xbox Store Today: Crypt of the NecroDancer, Uncanny Valley, Spheroids

Three retro-styled games are now available to download as part of today’s Xbox Games Store update…

First up is Crypt of the NecroDancer, a roguelike rhythm game for the Xbox One from Brace Yourself Games. Players will delve deep into a monster-filled dungeon and hopefully hit their musical cues to “deliver beatdowns to the beat.”

Also available to download for the Xbox One today is Uncanny Valley, a side-scrolling survival horror game where there’s an abandoned factory to explore and puzzles to solve.

Finally today, Spheroids is a side-scrolling platformer for the Xbox One where “a jumpy Canadian boy” named Lucas has to save the world from interdimensional aliens.

More information on all three games can be found after the break.

Crypt of the NecroDancer
Crypt of the NecroDancer is an award winning hardcore roguelike rhythm game. Move to the music and deliver beatdowns to the beat! Groove to the epic Danny Baranowsky soundtrack, or choose from five additional remixed soundtracks, including the new remixed chiptune soundtrack by Chipzel!

Uncanny Valley
Uncanny Valley is a survival horror game that includes a mix of exploration, puzzle solving and a bit of action with a lot of optional story content. We’re trying to preserve the old survival horror kind of gameplay instead of following the modern trend of creating a third person shooter with horror elements.

Spheroids
In Spheroids you take control of Lucas, a jumpy Canadian boy who sets out on an adventure with his crazy scientist companion Otto after it’s discovered that the government has been hiding alternative universes from the cubic world they live in. Unfortunately, these alternative universes contain spheres that wish to turn everything round, so it’s up to Lucas to save the world from these dangerous aliens: the Spheroids. Throughout Spheroids’ 32 levels, you’ll encounter many different environments, with multiple hazards to avoid and enemies to destroy.
