A Way Out, Western Press, Waku Waku 7 added to Xbox Store

A trio of new games are now available to download for the Xbox One today…

The jailhouse drama of Hazelight’s A Way Out leads the way in today’s Xbox Games Store update. Two players will take control of Leo and Vincent, a pair of cons that form an uneasy truce as they work to break out of prison and regain their freedom. Best of all, only one copy of A Way Out is required to play the game cooperatively online. Using the “Friends Pass” feature, players can share the game with their friends to help make their great escape.

Also available to download today is Western Press, a 1v1 dueling game that asks players to press a random string of ten buttons the fastest, and Waku Waku 7, a fighting game that was originally released for the NeoGeo in 1996.

You can learn more about all of these games after the break.

Now Available on Xbox Games Store – 3/23/18 [Major Nelson]

A Way Out
From the creators of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons comes A Way Out, an exclusively co-op adventure where you play the role of one of two prisoners making their daring escape from prison. What begins as a thrilling breakout quickly turns into an unpredictable, emotional adventure unlike anything seen or played before. A Way Out is an experience that must be played with two players. Each player controls one of the main characters, Leo and Vincent, in a reluctant alliance to break out of prison and gain their freedom. Together, you’ll explore notions of trust and consequence as your choices begin to catch up with you. Play the entire experience with your friends for free using the Friends Pass free trial feature.

Western Press
Based on a true story, Western Press is the most historically accurate frontier dueling game available for Xbox One. Probably. Up to 16 players (or bots) compete in a tournament of 1v1 sprints to press a random string of ten buttons the fastest. Learning to play is incredibly simple: Buttons go top to bottom, do them fast. A duel takes seconds, and a 16-player tournament takes minutes. So just how good is your guest list’s controller knowledge, and just how fast are their reactions?

Waku Waku 7
Waku Waku 7 is a fighting game released by Sunsoft in 1996. Players will control characters who have one of seven Waku Waku balls that grant wishes, and gather the remaining balls. Let’s gather power in exciting gauge, and attack all over with a personality-rich technique of each characters!
